Hello people , hope your 2021 is going well so far!? I'm looking for options for having truck body parts shipped from North Carolina to Florida. To be exact it's a jeep truck cab roof with a and b pillars. The seller can strap it to a pallet , but I have to arrange the shipping myself. I have bought enough parts in the past and had them shipped through the US ,but never had to arrange the shipping myself! So I hope to hear from you the do's and don'ts and what options there are available. Thanks much Cheers Mees |

Uship. If you need it fast then figure $2.50 per mile, I can have it picked up within a few hours and deliver direct. |

Thanks for the reply Matthew. There is no rush for it , but I'm outside the US ,so that's also not a plus for sorting things out. So you could do this kind of transport!? How can we work this out to make it happen? Thanks |

Yes, I can do it but if there is no hurry I strongly recommend uShip. You can get the work done a lot cheaper. Sign up on their website create an account pay by credit card the job will get done. What is the zip code for the origin and also for the delivery location please? When I get home I will generate a rate for you. |

I have used both Uship and ShipNex (no T).com for freight with good results. I believe Fastenal does this as well? |

You asked for do's and don'ts, so... DON'T ship with a common carrier unless it's completely crated. DO try to make sure your product changes hands as few times as possible. uShip generally it will go on an owner-operator's truck... and won't come back off it until it gets to the destination. On my trucks, same thing. It's what's called an EUV - Exclusive Use Vehicle and it's the fastest possible way to get anything anywhere with minimal possibility for damages. |

The zip code from origin is NC 27865 And from the delivery location FL 33578 Thanks much for your time. And yes there is no hurry at all It's only important it goes from one place to another , time is not If you say it's better to try uShip then I will have a look into that. But really thanks for the help! |

On a company branded truck with GPS and all the bells and whistles that come with it, you're looking at a 2 day transit and around $2300. On a subcontractor / owner operator truck you'd be looking at around $1800-$1900 Both options are expedited direct deliveries. uShip will give you a rate based on the truck making a few stops and taking a few days to get there. You have to create an account to get quotes from them, but only takes a few minutes to do that... then they email you later with the quote. If you want us to put a wiggle on it, let me know. |

Anybody live in that area and want to make a quick $1000? That's a short enough trip to make it worth while if that somebody already had a trailer. |

I shipped a ~50 lb exhaust manifold for an old Buda engine to a guy using Fastenal. They’re an industrial supply chain store but they will also ship heavy items. I crated the manifold and screwed it to a pallet. Closest store was about 30 miles from me; I dropped the crate off there. I think it cost about $100 to ship it from SC to Pennsylvania and took about a week. The guy I shipped it to had to pick it up from a store near him. |

Anybody live in that area and want to make a quick $1000? That's a short enough trip to make it worth while if that somebody already had a trailer. I'm about an hour from the pick up zip code, but all cards are stacked against me. A full time job, no trailer or ability to trailer or haul, and the latest Happy New Year tidings takes me out of contention. |
