I just (12-30-2020) purchased a LiveWire. I still have a Road King and my Uly but traded a custom bike that I had built back in 1997 in on it. I live in a small FL surf town on the east coast so it should work out well as an around town bike. So far I am liking it. Build quality seems to be top notch, it is crazy quick, and the noise level fits in with where I live better than blasting around on my Bourget. Any questions jut fire away! I'd include some photos but I have forgotten how...any help?? |

What were they asking for it? Are you avoiding salt? Just asking. How are you liking it's range? I know you just got it. |

Range is supposed to be ~100 highway and ~150 city. I get a little less than these miles. Avoid salt?? From sea spray? I keep it garaged with all my stuff and spray the metal pieces with Ballistol occasionally. Price was crazy. Seminole HD was trying to move them before end of the year. They were asking $21699. They gave me a LOW $3500 for my custom bike but in reality it was only worth $5K or so. I couldn't decide so I let them decide for me. I told them $16500 OTD with trade was all I would do. to My surprise on the 30th the sales manager called me and said how about $17500. I said split the difference and he did. So $17986 for LiveWire -3500 trade + tax and other crap came to $17000. Which I think is a crazy good deal.

Actually there are three of us in New Smyrna Beach!! Just like I did in Orlando back in 2002 I am going to try and have meet ups with them. We won't require a huge conference hall HA. I am hoping that maybe I can find a couple more in Daytona too. I have not found a LW forum yet either. The only problem I had with them was the price. I am very happy with the product. Tesla on two wheels! |

A FL group is planning a LiveWire ride to Key West later this month and another group is planning an electric bike Dragon get together. Reminiscent of early Buell activities.

I love the convenient window for those pre-ride tire tread depth checks |

I honestly think its a good looking bike, but that is a very odd design choice |

Tag means nothing. It is state issued random tag. Used to be on my Bourget.

I will probably be modifying the rear end. Something like this:

Might want to check out: https://www.electricmotorcycleforum.com/boards/ind ex.php?wwwRedirect They talk all brands of electric motorcycles there and have a separate discussion board for the Livewire. Best of all: NO POLITICS!!!! |

I also think the Livewire is a very good looking bike. Arguably, one of their best looking bikes as well. And while the technology of the electric motor system is pretty awesome, to me part of the experience of riding is the sensations of the rumbly, paint shaker of a motor their bikes are known for. After all, weren't they all hell bent on copyrighting that sound? Those thoughts aside, thats a pretty awesome bike. Just not my cup of tea. and well... I cant help you with that Shoggin guy. Maybe if you point out the compartment above the motor holds a case of beer, he will probably change his mind about the bike. |

I live in a small surf town on the east coast of FL, New Symrna Beach. I was cruising the main drag and see another LW. So I talk to Juan and we take some photos. Crazy! We are taking over!

Were I in the market for an electric bike, it would likely be a Zero, not a Livewire. It looks like a nice bike, but the price and having to deal with HD dealers again (for a bike they likely despise) would be too much to bear. |

The Livewire is getting a lot of positive reviews but it is STILL too damned expensive for what you're actually getting. If Energica had a more extensive dealer network I would PROBABLY have an SS9 in my garage BUT I am perfectly happy with my 2018 Zero S. It does everything I need it to do. The only problem with Zero is they stopped selling the "S" model with the larger 14.4kWh battery in the States. If you want the larger battery you have to shell out several thousand dollars more for the higher-performance SR (and take the higher insurance hit as well). I still don't understand the "logic." It's not like they stopped making that battery, and they still sell it with the larger capacity battery in Europe. I don't understand why we're being short-changed. |

MSRP and what they will take are two different things. Also, the comment regarding H-D dealers despising the LV. Huh, talk about generalizing a bit. |

I said likely. Like Buell, it’s not their core product, and it doesn’t appeal to their core audience. I’m sure there are dealers out there enthusiastically selling them, but I’ll bet you a dollar most of them take the minimum required to maintain their franchise, and direct people to the big twins. I’d love to be wrong. |

In order to carry the Livewire, the dealership HAS to be committed because part of the deal is they MUST provide a CCS fast charge station for Livewire owners. Unlike J1772, CCS (DCFC) is EXPEN$IVE to set up. They also have to provide that service free of charge to Livewire owners (though I'm unfamiliar with how they'd prevent other brands like Energica from also charging for free at them). In any event, after putting that much expense into just being able to carry the bike, I can't see why they'd shuffle them off to the back of the showroom (ie: The Buell treatment). They're going to want some return on their investment. |

Bike Week 2021. Charging at Rossmeyer’s HD. 50 miles of running...charging took 23 minutes.
