This morning, I couldn't access my Gmail account. I can now access it, but I can't access my contacts. That's a royal pain in the asteroids. Now, five of the eight packages I mailed out are going to be late due to "UNPRECEDENTED PACKAGE INCREASES AND LIMITED EMPLOYEE AVAILABILITY DUE TO THE IMPACTS OF COVID-19" I'm sure it's all Trump's fault! (I actually had somebody tell me that about the mail) |

Package increases could be due to Operation Warp Speed - since shipping companies (UPS, FedEx, etc) are prioritizing vaccine distribution at the moment. As well as our military. "Trump's fault"? Maybe. Indirectly. But...f'in WAAAAH if it means getting this vaccine out, and opening shit back up so we can get back to something resembling a normal life!! |

I live a little rural and the small local post office that delivers our mail had to rent a U-Haul to go pick up the mail from the hub in Columbus. They are having a hard time finding people to work. We have a few Amazon facilities sprinkled around the city. Starting wage is $17 bucks a hour. |

I had a major malfunction with my mindspring email account the other day, couldnt access my email for several hours. As John said above,it was "a royal pain in the asteroids"! Email getting bounced back to people as undeliverable,I couldn't conduct my piddlin' little bidness.Well it's back to normal now with slow internet and packages that get delivered and arrive late.Ah,the joys of living in the mountains in times of the virus. |

Gmail and youtube, and search for some people, had an outage earlier today. But we were told the cloud would never go down. I wish my management team would open their eyes. |

We have converted to Office 365 and several other Microsoft cloud products at work... It's great all the way up until our service provide has an outage. We are one drunk hitting a phone pole away from being completely down for hours/days now. Even worse when this happens during the school semester and half our classes are being taught by remote. Happened about 3 weeks into the start of the semester this fall, and nothing we can do because of lack of choice for internet connections, pretty much everything flows through Spectrum fibers here, no matter which company you pay for the service. It's great all the way up until our service provide has an outage. We just switched to cloud based this year. When doing the training the question was asked about internet outages and such. "Don't worry, rarely happens" We've only been stung 3 or 4 times so far... |

But...f'in WAAAAH if it means getting this vaccine out, Nation in a rush for a "fast tracked" vaccine. I can only ask them, Do you remember the "fast tracked" thalidomide? There is not an emergency level that constitutes "fast tracking" a vaccine for mass consumption for a 99.9% survivable virus.

I agree completely. However. The MSM, the "rulers", the CDC, and the WHO have made such a huge deal of it that it's turned into a global clusterfu(k. If pushing a vaccine to distribution takes the wind out of their bullshit lockdown sails, I say "ship the bitch!". Let's get this whole goddamned thing OVER with, and get back to our daily lives. Personally, I could give two shits about the virus. 99.969% recovery? Yea...that's a bad cold. Woo-freakin'-hoo. Let's move on already - and if a vaccine is the only way to enable moving on? Do it. Yesterday. |

At 99,969% an highly likely to have been an early adopter two Thanksgivings ago with an SpO2 of 80 for months, I have already moved on. Bratts and collard greens fried in bacon grease will heal you. |

I've still waiting on stuff that shipped on black friday..was supposed to be 3-4 days (about 3 weeks ago). The funny thing about that vaccine, if we assume 100% buy-in with a 95% effectiveness rate, that means it won't work on 5% of people...320 million x .05 = 16 million. Add to that, most experts think it will need to be an annual thing. Anybody know the current "confirmed" positive cases? 16 million is the answer. So, seems like this whole deal is a win-win for big pharma |
