But coronavirus is everywhere, so there is a good chance it was coronavirus, especially they did not post official reason of death. Until they had not tested his body for coronavirus we can not exclude such thing.

This thread is a tribute and remembrance for Chuck Yeager. Please respect that and please ignore the troll. Responding to him is his oxygen. There have been many trolls on Badweb before this one and they all slowly slink away.
Thank you Brigadier General Yeager as you have made my life better.

I will be digging out my copy of the right stuff. Yeager is actually in it as a waiter, at the saggy bottom riding club.
A career with a long line of firsts.
as an antidote He stopped in Wilmington NC in his P51 going some where, The line guys took photos, of him, Glamorus Glynnis, and the P51, the fuel / oil recipts were framed with his signature and are on the wall in the pilot's lounge.

I'll rate Eric Brown, the British test pilot who holds the record for most different planes tested, as #1. Biplanes to rocket interceptors.
But Yeager absolutely set the template for American aviators. If the plane is spinning on fire and might be missing a tail, you really want to sound like Chuck on the radio. Calm, unhurried, matter of fact, and providing the information the tower needs, no matter your actual Adrenaline level.

"..Yeager is actually in it as a waiter."
Yes he plays the waiter who brings the steak dinner to the actor who plays (Yeager) after he breaks the sound barrier. He looked familiar to me so I checked the credits and there he was. so add movie star to his list of accomplishments.
He was in several car related commercials when I was quite a bit younger. }

As I've made a living for years (a hard one) as a waiter, I appreciate this new little fact about Yeager. Can't remember how long it's been since I've seen that movie.
