My wife and I decided to come up to Little Switzerland for a short fall break. Got here Sunday afternoon and we’re leaving in the morning. I went old school and brought the Uly for this trip. There were a couple of other bikes at the hotel last night. I got a few hours of riding in yesterday and today. The roads seem very different with lots of the leaves down. You can see a lot of stuff you can’t see in the summer. Today especially, most of the roads were clear and traffic was light. Foggy start Monday morning:
Uly in the shed at the Skyline:
Monday night at Homeplace Brewing in Burnsville:
Today near the north end of Double Island Road (remember this spot from this summer, Twig?):
Last run today on NC226A at Turkey Cove Baptist Church:
It was a nice stay, but too short. Next visit will hopefully be for Buell’s in the Alps 11 in 2021. (Message edited by Hughlysses on October 27, 2020) |

I'm chomping at the bit to ride the PC800 up the BRP ASAP... it'll be sometime next year, hopefully. |

It’s probably a pretty good time to head up. Lows were in the 50’s and highs barely made 70. Once the hurricane blows through, there should be plenty of days of good riding left. |

Sorry I couldn't have joined you. Those are my kind of temps! Hopefully I can make #11! |
