As I noted in my post in the Trump thread this morning...the virus is getting weaker. People with it now, aren't showing the same symptoms or the same viral load of people who had it back in April. Communist thugs burn communities. Socialists run death camps. Anyone who announces they won't give up Emergency Powers until X ( no new cases! And while the fatality rate of COVID-19 is similar to past influenzas — and it mainly kills the elderly and medically compromised — this bug sure is contagious! By not killing most hosts, the COVID-19 virus spreads easily as infected people with little or no symptoms interact with others, and so on and so on. Gee...that sounds a LOT like what I was saying MONTHS ago. "Either it IS as contagious as they say...OR it's as deadly as they say...but not both because we don't have piles of bodies in the streets." This goal of zero...is ridiculous. You have to get tested to be in the same ROOM as our President...but he still caught it. And he looks to be doing just fine with it, despite his "age" factor. I have had co-workers test positive. Automotive technicians - not the most healthy crowd, hard drinkin' and fast-food-eatin'. To the person, they have reported mild headaches and a couple days sans taste and smell. Woo. Hoo. Is it real? Yes. Are there people who are actually at risk? Yes. Does it justify locking down 100% of the population? HELL NO. Let's get over it already. | ||

Yeah.. coworker's son got it. He stayed upstairs, mom and dad stayed downstairs. They drove him to the doctor wearing masks. It lasted 3 weeks, and nobody in else in the house got it. Mild fever for a few days, sore throat, loss of smell but could still taste most things. All better, back to work, everyone in the house negative. Oh, and did I mention that the kid is diabetic? So there's that. | ||

I'm currently planning an expedition into the Forbidden Lands my Governor has whim chosen based on Party Lines. This may require a promise to self quarantine. So I'm considering a "new prepaid phone" to take the daily text messages and GPS tracking. Then mailing it to Sweden. Any European Badwebbers want to leave a thoroughly sterilized cell phone on a train or a long haul truck? Maybe a load of beets or beer bound for Russia, Turkey, or Tajikistan? There are hornets in Canada, they can travel freely over the border to the USA. The only way to bring hornets over sea is to bring whole colony, a few hornets alone will not survive. The parent hornet nest could be somewhere inside a ship from China traveled to the USA so nobody can catch them. Customs guys can not even stop human traffic, hornets and cononavisur are much much smaller than people and therefor more difficult to stop. (Message edited by TPEHAK on October 06, 2020) |
