The Wuhan Coronavirus of 2019 is somewhat more deadly than the average common cold or the annual influenza plague that sweeps the planet from China because of Communist oppression and pre-medieval farming/food practices. It's not as bad as the 1918 "Spanish Flu", but few plagues were. The leftist politicians have violated law, rights, and taken arbitrary dictatorial power in the name of Further, while wearing masks is common sense in a plague to reduce the chance of getting & passing on any airborne epidemic, it's also a political issue with one side pointing out the metaphor of masks eliminating individuality by Dictatorial Decree, while the other side is imposing that control and urging vigilante assaults on their ideological and disobedient enemies. Which puts me in the position of considering the right wing pundits biased hacks that need to better balance metaphor and common sense. And left-wing politicians criminal homicidal monsters that need to be stopped by any means necessary, and perversely justifying the right wing pundits fears. | ||

Same for social distancing....and being shut down, killing our economy... If it works, why are rates still "climbing"? Why have places with no lockdown, seen fewer total cases and are done with the disease at this point? (Sweden, South Dakota, etc) - I know the real answer, curious what the political/fearmongering version is. How many cases are real? How many cases are bullshit? (CDC: "if it looks like COVID, don't bother testing to verify, just put it down as cause of death") Why are we penalizing 100% of society, for the PERCIEVED "safety" of 1%? Once again....where's the science? When did "flatten the curve" turn into "aim for zero new cases"? (an impossible goal, BTW...). Oh. Wait. I know that one too - it's an election year.
