Drove over to Smokescreen's house last night. My son was there, and so was Charlie and Lightning Dave! I can't rememberr when we were all together last. 3% of the 3%ers!
The Georgia Moto Guzzi campout is only 2 1/2 weeks away! Wait a minute, that's another forum.I guess I'm going to be having more fun than one guy can handle! I get to hang out with my two favorite groups of people.

Well, here's my scoop...
At this writing I've got the Honda in for tires and a tuneup, no telling how long this will take. Parts availability is sketchy. Matthew texted me yesterday as to whether I'm going...
Checked the cabin availability, none open. If someone here needs me to split with them, post up. Otherwise I'll shoot for next April. C'est la vie.

Hmmm...
I can make it to Jim's in 2H 13Min... from the house. I think I just found a great reason for an early morning departure from the homestead to grab a Saturday lunch, bring back a hero's dinner. Perfect day ride idea. I'd get to break in the tires, get used to the new ride once it's running healthily.

Things have been good at TWOS lately, with good crowds and good riding weather.During the current unpleasantness, social distancing is being practiced in the restaurant with one way travel only,in theory. You go in the front door, stand on large X's on the floor and advance to the counter where you place your order, you're given a cup,go left to fill your drink, exit through the door by the bathrooms,go around the building to the window to the right of the chimney to wait for your name to be called and then receive you food out the window. there are picnic tables in a few different locations for your dining pleasure.Jim's has the usual tables outside as they are not to my knowledge allowing inside dining either.
We're having the Georgia Moto Guzzi Campout this weekend. So come on down if you want to see another motorcycle that's "Different in every sense"!

I was at Jim's the week before I caught up with you. We sat inside, just wear your mask until seated. In fact, other than the mask, it was business as usual unless they've changed since then.

I am really looking forward to having ribs at Jim's! As well as setting my tent up at TWoS and riding over Wolf Pen Gap and getting ethanol free Premium and seeing a bunch of really Decent people! And it's only a couple of weeks from now!

I'm wishing I had the weekend off! I love the cooler weather.... campfire... few drinks.. stories.. good food... riding and GREAT peeps. Makes for a wonderful weekend.
But I'll be standing in a parking lot in Chilicothe, Ohio teaching people how to ride instead. Pretty rewarding, just not as much fun for sure

Recon- as to whom might have a free bed in one of the cabins. I've spent my life since March only going to work, grocery, occasionally Wallyworld. Pick up take-out food from an Asian local joint. AFAIK I've no communicable illnesses. I do snore like a 'Squatch though.
Otherwise I'll see about timing a ride that Saturday to meet for lunch, then just head back home. Got word today that my PC800 is about ready... gonna need some saddle time soon!

I've got a cabin rented for Gretchen. She has a 0.0005% record of actually showing up, so there's a pretty good likelihood there will be a bed. If she comes, the daughter and dogs come with her.
In reality, I feel like she's going to show up for a couple of hours on Saturday or something along those lines, so I hate for it to go to waste. On the other hand, if she decides to come and you're in there, it could be a sticky wicket.
I'll at very least have an extra hammock. I can also bring my big tent.
What we need to do is get Mark to come down to Buelltoberfest and Matthew to come up to the WVBR. Both rallies are great. And they are both FUN! Both have great riding, great food and great people. But they're also different from each other.
I didn't make it to March Badness this year, but that just means that I'm looking forward to Buelltoberfest that much more.
With just a little bit of luck, I'll have the hard bags on the 16. She won't be as pretty as she will be next year, but there is definitely progress.
