Nice bike. Many of us have moved on to other bikes. As long as you like it, enjoy! Your opinion is the only one that really matters. |

The Oscar is ugly AF. If you choose to go with ugly motorcycles I would recommend you to stick at least with reliable motorcycles, maybe with Honda Africa Twin. (Message edited by TPEHAK on July 14, 2020) |

Charl; consider yourself honored. The Badweb troll has deigned to visit you when you returned! I'm looking forward to seeing both the bike and you in West Virginia. |

But it is true. I would seriously consider to trade this thing on Africa Twin. (Message edited by TPEHAK on July 14, 2020) |

And also check the Buell side stand fasteners, they tend to unscrew over the time - it should not lean so hard on the side, especially with that pillar you put under the stand. |

It's not the prettiest thing in the world, but it's nice. Enjoy. I still have my Buell...but it needs lots of work. |

Sweet! I like the Rotax engine, clever engineering and I hope good reliability. Rotax makes very popular aircraft engines, and while the 912 series has odd to some maintenance needs, the only real complaint is that the carburetor floats have been recalled repeatedly. Which is on Bing, not Rotax, since for some reason from the 80's on German automobile companies seem to never fix the problems from cheap seals and plastic parts. See Hoovies Garage in YouTube for a crazy guy who buys cheap broken supercars. BMW v-8 cars, $100,000+ all eat valve seals. Something every American company figured out by the time you could drive. The weird maintenance on the 912 Rotax airplane engine? It's got a dry sump oil system. And after you let it sit for a few days, you have to turn the engine over by hand & listen to it burble the air bubbles out of the oil lines, before starting. Which sounds like WW1 technology, & you're not wrong. But you have to do the same thing on every radial airplane engine, turn it by hand before starting. ( on those, it's to keep the oil that leaks last the rings on the bottom cylinders from hydro-locking the engine and breaking the crank or rods ) and it pukes oil out of the exhaust every time, which is why radial engine pilots carry a rag. As far looks? Looks comfy. Enjoy Oscar. And ignore Tpehawk. I think it's a trollbot. |
