Businesses need to be closed because of masks do not provide 100% protection. We are forced to wear them because they improve protection by 50%. |

N95 masks, yes. The kind we’re not supposed to wear so that they can be saved for medical personnel. Because they’re effective and the dust masks from home depot and your grandmother’s tea towels are not. Yet, that’s what we’re required to wear. |

Businesses need to be closed because of masks do not provide 100% protection. Bull. The Sun will swell and scorch the Earth. A supervolcano will kill billions. Asteroids are on the way. Next year there will be a new Chinese Communist Party flu. All true statements, in rough order of far away to close in time. None mean you shouldn't live. Life is fatal. You wear masks for 2 reasons. It keeps the big spray out when people sneeze & cough. It signals you are a ( fill in the blank, depending on cynicism level ) considerate Citizen. Nothing you would want to wear keeps viruses away from you. Unless you are in critical care, or biological research, ( or other hazard jobs ) you just don't & are foolish to, worry about stopping all disease. You want to not get the plague? There will be a next one, you know. There always is. 1. Don't live in a city. 2. Don't take public transportation. 3. Don't live in a Democrat controlled State. Then you improve your chances. |

Won't save your lungs from polymerization if you are spraying epoxy paint, either. Specialty filters for specific hazards. protection is a relative term... In Switzerland, a chemist, medical researcher was using normal care when he accidentally dosed himself with an experimental drug. He was using care that would protect him against milligram doses, but the new synthetic drug only needed micrograms... "1/10 of the mass of a grain of sand" and he rode his bicycle home tripping. ( for the first time ever... Albert Hofmann, LSD ) Fentanyl is, in relatively pure form, is 50-100 times more potent than Morphine. The high death rate from overdoses can be assumed to be a Feature from the view of the Chinese Communist Party that is prosecuting a narco-terrorism assault on America. Makes smuggling in enough to slaughter a city pretty easy, too. Police are having a serious problem with protecting themselves from the drug. I can pour powdered Heroin all over your arm, and if you dust it off, and rinse with cold water, you might not get any effect. Try that with Fentanyl, and you may be beyond saving. Even removing your gloves wrong can kill you when handling the stuff. And then there's the fun stuff like... https://blogs.sciencemag.org/pipeline/archives/201 0/02/23/things_i_wont_work_with_dioxygen_difluorid e I'll point out the first man to isolate Flourine, died, poisoned. And the second. Third, Fourth, ...... |

will a "n 95" mask filter out the smell of a fart ? You need a 1980s gas mask with NBC filters. It will keep out the smell. Tested personally more than once in armored vehicles. |

Get this- youtube has deleted the video posted earlier from Sharyl Attkisson / Full Measure news that presented a factual evaluation of hydroxychloroquine and Remdesivir used in the treatment of COVID-19, calling the piece “dangerous”. https://sharylattkisson.com/2020/05/youtube-censor ship-of-hydroxychloroquine-facts/ |

Of course. Because it promotes free thinking, and drawing of your own conclusions...as opposed to simply digesting the information the MSM force feeds you. Dangerous. Free minds are the enemy. |

Cumulative and running averages usually are. The raw daily deaths plots, not so much. Thus the trendlines. How's things up your way? |

It's unfair to compare Texas to New York! Texas has no large cities. NY has 5. Texas is an agricultural state, with no illegal immigrants, NY is industrial, with millions of undocumented Democrat Voters. Nobody lives in Texas except a few cowboys and that colony of Californians clustered around the Whole Foods. NY is completely full with more people per mile than Hong Kong,no room to breath.... At least that's the Manhattan provincial view. The internet tells me it's 4 hours and 36 minutes to drive from Albany to Buffalo, through Syracuse & Rochester, which are the 4 major cities IN New York. ( New York City is really just stuck on one corner, practically in New Jersey ) You will drive past industry. The other 4 1/2 hours is suburbs and farms. If you don't like tolls, the ride on blue highways will take at least 6 hours if you stop to get fresh fruit from farm stands and pause for lunch at one of the many scenic sites. Then it's farms... woods, swamps, and more deer than lived in 1776. Go N to S, & You can pick a route that avoids large villages completely. Not hard. Cliches can be based on facts, but provincial thinking is common in big cities... Especially with folk who unironically use the phrase "flyover country" . I do wish Sifo would return so we can get his opinion on how likely it is that the best treatment so far is Pravda'd as bad because a. Bad Orange Man & b. Dr. Fauci is paid by the company pushing a drug that failed to pass clinical trials. Hey, I'm all in for being a test subject on experimental drugs if the alternative is death. ( with my luck, I'd be in the control group ) But watching the "News" tell me available and anecdotally proven cocktails of drugs are Eeeeeevillll! & a possible liver killer is The Answer To Our Prayers. ( If they were so uncouth as to believe in prayers ) While between ads for acne drugs that have side effects listings that include suicide & homicidal rage... The cognitive dissonance is deafening. |

NYC essentially got hit with virus carpet-bombing. Lots of NYC metro area folks traveling to and fro from N. Italy, the heart of the pandemic there. Can't blame that on Cuomo. |

All the more reason to OPEN BACK UP. I was watching the news this morning. Pelosi and her bill, want to extend the $600/week unemployment "stimulus" until the end of the year. First, we need to WORK, not sit home and watch netflix and binge on twinkies. Second, when do we get OUR $600 a week from the government, for CONTINUING to work, when business is down 65%? (I know. It'll never happen, and the government shouldn't have to subsidize workers any more than they should subsidize laziness. And, that's what it'll turn into - people making more to stay at home, than they could by working, will stay at home even when they CAN go back to work.) |
