I’m still working but with not going out much or hanging out with friends. So far I’ve got some plastics replaced, spooned on a fresh rear, ran an accessory wire (double insulated) to replace one that rubbed thru against the frame & killed the battery and fitted some shorai lipos. I went to replace some leaking fork seals on the ‘wife’s bike’ but the ones I got off eBay are cheap pieces of crap (the dust seal won’t even stay in the outer fork tube) and the coating on the bushings got boogered up during disassembly. So I’m almost all caught up but now out of parts. Anybody have a good source for some 41mm bushings Anybody else turning wrenches? |

I had a horrid experience with a bushing and seal set off Amazon (Moose Racing). The bushings were good but the seals were undersized. Just stay away from the no name stuff, is usually enough. AllBalls is Chicom stuff, though they always work. Both my bikes are blown up now. Only worrying about my new to me car until I can afford otherwise. |

I'm doing a major service to my '04 R1150R to get it ready for sale.So far changed the fluids in the engine, trans, rear drive and changed the spark plugs. Next comes the valve check and brake fluid. (Message edited by buellish on April 04, 2020) |

So far changed the fluids in the engine, trans, rear drive and the spark plugs. What kind of fluid do you use in your spark plugs? |

What kind of fluid do you use in your spark plugs? I'd presume something conductive... |

I couldn't resist! I prefer Authentic Synthetic Dino spark plug oil, myself. |

Mobil 1 spark plug fluid is the best.

I prefer the factory synthetic because you can use it in both the spark plug and turn signal reservoirs. |

All I had on hand was Spark Plug World store brand Synthetic.

Dude. That stuff is too conductive. It’ll destroy the electrodes and put flat spots in your turn signal blink rate. |

I wondered why the signals had been acting all baskwards? Can I drain and flush? |

I think I found the bushings in stock at St. Paul hd They were clean out of any and all spark plug fluids In the mean time I helped my son cut out a torque spacer plate to fit his 85. Still not sure how it works but I think it’s better. |

Careful with that blinker fluid. If you try and use it for the spark plugs, you will be down over 50% on power. |

I installed a new footboard on the Road Glide. The old one just sheered off. I must have hit it from the side with my boot. Bikes been converted to EFI and now I'm just riding it and letting it learn. So much easier than changing jets!! |

Nillaice, interesting about fork seals. just did 06 uly and had seals on hand; 1 Buell packaging, the other HD. both unopened, not sure out of which pack it came but 1 seal was too small. strange but had to provide VIN before they (St. Paul) would sell me fork rebuild parts |
