I just saw your post. Laurie and I are in Prescott which is probably out of your way, but you are more than welcome to stay at our home. Call anytime and we will be here for you.

Prescott is 90 miles north of Phoenix from the 10 north on 17 or 80 miles south from Flagstaff from the 40 on the 17. Prescott is 6.5 hours to San Diego/Los Angeles.
Our home is open to you heading to or from California.
I've kept one of those Page-A-Day calendars on my desk for years.
The Zen phrase a day has been a favorite.
"And once the storm is over, you won't remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. And you may not even be sure, whether the storm is really over. But one thing is for certain. When you come out of the storm, you won't be the same person who walked in. That's what this storm is all about."
Tom, I will most likely stop and visit you on my way home... Would love to see that palace you've built up there.
Currently I am at Don's place in Phoenix, having just imbibed a generous night cap, and will be hitting the road in about 6 hours.
Here is the latest:
I (his mother) was at the hospital in the afternoon today and Kenny has made very good progress. He is able to maintain his oxygenation without using the rotating bed. So he is on a regular bed his oxygenation numbers are all in normal limits and his ventilator settings are being turned down. Down is good . MRI is tomorrow and is going to be a huge help in predicting his recovery. That said he will be on a ventilator for 5 to 7 more days. We are moving in the right direction even though he is still listed critical
Tomorrow, I will see for myself.
Once again, BadWeB is the bastion of brotherhood. Thanks to everyone for all the support.
I'm here with my other son Joe and we'll be going over to the hospital to see Ken in a bit... he's still not awake, but has been removed from paralytic drugs and only sedated now.
More later, and thanks again to everyone - these prayers are powerful stuff.
Not even seeking it out, ran across this just now...
Psalm 91: 14-15.
I will rescue those who love me. I will protect those who trust in my name. When they call on me I will answer. I will be with them in trouble, I will rescue them and honor them.
Here's a quote I've always loved...
"And once the storm is over, you won't remember how you made it through, how you managed to survive. And you may not even be sure whether the storm is really over. But one thing is certain. When you come out of the storm, you won't be the same person who walked in. That's what this storm is all about."

OK... So the doctor wanted to see if he's got brain function. So he turned off the propofol and fentanyl. In a few minutes he began to stir, and wanted to fight the tubes.
He's in restraints, but he's so strong I felt like he could break them if he really wanted to. He woke up pretty pissed off, but when he saw me he calmed down pretty quick. It really did me a lot of good to see the recognition in his eyes. He responded to all the nurses' commands correctly. It's starting to seem like he could be off that ventilator in a few days.
WOW! That is great news! Praying for more! Please do post updates as time and energy permits. Be sure to take care of yourself along the way. It's easy to forget that step.
Give all Praise onto the Lord. It is the Power of Belief and Prayer. Amen
