I want to emphasize, the Fauci paid for research that gave us Covid-19, did produce a deadly bioweapon that did, in fact, kill a Lot of people, including friends of mine.

Whether it was the U.S. research version or the CCP copied/parallel research/stolen version, only matters in the sentencing phase of the War Crimes trial we won't get to see. It's a mass murder act, probably accidental.

Yes, it's hyped and lied about by the Authoritarian government scumballs. "Only a bad flu season" is partly accurate.

But the annual flu is usually the result of CCP health policies and absolute indifference to human life, not a lab created bioweapon.

You can argue the usual annual flu is deliberate action by the CCP because they could reduce the waves if they wanted, and there's probably a decision/choice ( but undocumented ) at the higher levels of the kleptocracy to take advantage of & spread the flu, and that fits well with their murderous nature.

But Covid-19 is well documented as an engineered plague, albeit maybe by accident. ( as seen in that S. King novel/miniseries )

Thus, Real Disease, Real excess deaths.

If I went into Rochester and, say, hypothetically, shot 6 pimps this weekend, it would only change the murder stats a tiny bit. ( and improve the lives of the people but that's not relevant ) But it still would be murder. ( The ethical and legal argument that murdering slavers is defensive, protecting others from deadly harm, is not going to do well in a modern courtroom, no matter how true. Few DAs & judges would want to make pimp hunting a legal vigilante act, if only out of fear of collateral damage to bystanders and the bribe income. )

The late David Drake wrote a novel about a big conspiracy to create an ethnic cleansing virus. Science fiction, absolutely. So far.

Anecdotal, but a Nurse riding buddy chose to work in the dangerous Looney bin rather than deal with the NYC hospitals sh#$ show. ( Yamaha collector. Usual mount, FJ1200 )

He just has to worry about passing out tranks to crazy people who might think they're Moses or try to eat his face. Much better than watching treatment forbidden by politicians withheld from dying patients who could have been saved.
