Money is a means to an end. I like eating, and sleeping indoors, so I chase money to facilitate that. |

I leaned on a shovel last weekend and watched my neighbor dig post holes. Do I qualify for management? Safety observer? No, never mind, the safety observer wouldn’t have had a shovel. |

Canceling all flights from Europe is going to hurt my business. Roughly 30% of what we deliver is European imports. |

It sounds like air cargo isn't affected. |

Yet. I think this is going to hit all of us. I'm already having discussions with my bands about "do we keep going or do we start cancelling bookings?" My day job is already having conversations about "if you test positive, you stay home for 2 weeks". Those of us who are healthy, and will experience just flu-like symptoms...we'll feel sick, it'll burn through, and we'll be OK afterwards...but I think our whole business apparatus is going to be affected. Big time. |

Woke up to news that Big Ears is cancelled. Craptastic. We've got two absolutely beautiful, historic concert/performance theaters here, the Tennessee and the Bijou- sure hope this crap doesn't hurt them too bad. I'm wondering every day if/when my biz starts slowing. Darden restaurant group just announced a new sick leave plan for employees. Yeesh. |

We're operating about 70% of our normal workload with about 90% of our normal capacity. So it seems slow, but revenue is flowing. I'm getting caught up on all my cost analysis. |

I went into the micro brewery I help out yesterday and they were letting the employees know that they're closing for at least a couple of weeks. The brewing team and canning team will work a couple of days to meet retail demand but the bars are closed. I'm going to try and talk them into doing some maintenance while everything is down, makes it a lot easier and a better job when you're not rushed. Tonight I'm having dinner with some friends who own a really nice Italian restaurant. It's their last night also. |

This is in St. Louis, just across the river. Yes, Illinois has been down longer. I live in Illinois but worked in St. Louis. They used to call me a wetback since I crossed the river and stole their jobs!! (Message edited by tootal on March 19, 2020) |

still twiddling my thumbs... I only have a few jobs starting back up and a BUNCH on hold. Got a lot of things done around the house but I'm about to pass out from boredom sitting at my desk. I did go to Southern Missouri Off Road Ranch to do a little Jeep'n and had a pretty good time. We passed a place called Uranus Fudge Factory on our way there and home. But it was to late in the evening and I'm pretty sure they would have been closed. I would have loved some peanut butter fudge and a T-Shirt... Maybe next time. |
