Since I've never served in the military, I fell a extreme debt of gratitude to those who have and wonder how my life would be different if I had.

So, THANK YOU!!! to all you here that have been there to protect all of us and what this country represents.

Sincerely,
Jeff & Julie

Me too. Only my question is not what if I had, but rather what if all of those who did had not.

I look at this day as a thanks giving day. I do not feel guilty about not being a participant, although I was ready to be drafted at the end of Vietnam exercises.

My hat is off in deepest gratitude to all of you who made the military distinction. Thank you veterans from a proud American and Patriot.

You made my life possible.

What more can be said?

Thank you to all who serve, and all whom have served. Your sacrifice is appreciated.

Prayers up for my young son in law, Lucas Capps, currently in Iraq - awaiting his assignment in Syria, any day now.

X6, and then some. I was just thinking of Mark, RD, Char, Court, and the countless other BW peeps who've served... I thank you all.

Lots of medical reasons kept me out, and I'll always wonder "What if...". My dad was Air Force Korea, never spoke to me about his time. If I see an old man with his service hat on, I try to speak to him and express my gratitude.

I went to Applebee's for a free meal today. It was delicious. Waitress sat me at the bar as I was alone by choice. She brought another Vet and asked if he wanted to sit by me. He declined as he had a friend coming. I told her she shouldn't try to sit people by so ugly a Vet. 10 minutes later she brings this old guy to the bar and loudly asks if he minded sitting by this ugly veteran. I felt like I was loved.

I have befriended a couple of WW2 vets. The most honored I've been was when one of them asked me to drive him, in his old Willy's Jeep, down to the Vet's club so we could "bend an elbow"!

When my father died I was able to maintain my composure during all the events...until the visitation when there was a masonic funeral. At the end a Korean Vet, in uniform, walked up and saluted the casket. I had to look away or completely loose it.

So thanks to all that have served, you have my deepest respect.
