Regarding the cycling article, I live in a very red part of Texas in one of the first master planned communities in the nation. There are cycle paths connecting everything. They are separate roadways, and often offer shortcuts through golf courses and public areas that cars cannot access. It’s a nice town. Sure glad I moved here.
Maybe RD could shed some insight. Really, want some light? Well, If you place bicycle trails where they can be used, then ruin traffic patterns till you have such a cluster of peanut butter in your underwear that it takes an hour to travel 10 miles home from work. Some people will use the faster bicycle to travel. Just my opinion here. I have lots of pretty things to say about Carmel. Best not to get me started.
Brainless didn't really do more for the trail than what I have said. INDIANAPOLIS gets all the credit for putting the rails to trails program in place. He acts like he and al gore created stuff. I am going to go make some pizza.
That was awesome! I remember when they put the restrictors on the intake which screwed up the big motors. The guys then made the engines smaller so they ran correctly with the smaller size intake. They ended up much faster than the big motor.
And I thought we were cool moving the engine over 3/4" to get our weight the same on the front wheels!
I had a first year V-6 Fiero, loved it but it understeered badly. After a few years, I centered on 185 width tires and some extra weights. 140# of molybdenum on the passenger floor(always driven solo) and 150# over the front axle.
The Fiero,(flaming arrow), had a Chevy chevette front axle in it. Being typical GM they put it's own front end in and perfected it. Then they quit making it. Idiots!
OK- I just posted this to my local Nextdoor forum, let's throw it out here...
I am waiting to hear back from UT/TSU/Blount agricultural extension to help me figure out what the heck is causing about a dozen and a half holes in my backyard. About a half-dollar coin size. Just discovered another pair of holes right next to my foundation, both bigger, so I'm now quite concerned.
My house is at the top of a hill. It's been WAY too dry, so I know the soil is completely depleted of moisture. These holes proliferated this year, but might have started a year or two ago. I stuck my garden hose down one, on a higher point above the others, let it run about 10-15 minutes. It never filled up with water, none of the other holes downhill flowed any water either. What the heck's going on?? A "good ole boy", smart buddy of mine suggested rodents- my next door neighbor had a problem with them, and killed quite a few. I put out traps, caught one healthy rat, and about 3 mice, a couple of weeks ago in my shed, none since. I've not seen any animal or insect activity at all around them, and I tend to keep late nights due to work.
Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
