Because Brad asked. Kdan and Bambi are building a log cabin. I've been helping (or at least trying to help). Here are some pictures. I have more somewhere... |

Those last two are featuring Kdan. There are more, I'm guessing a lot are on mine and Ann's phones. If there's any interest, I'll post more. |

Boy,Kdan is looking more and more like a mountain redneck all the time! I'm interested! There was a time in another life that I thought that I was going to build a log house. |

The crane pics are almost a year ago. Where Dan is laying the floor was last month. From clearing the hill at the very beginning til now has been a year. Probably another 6 months to finish. We've done everything damn near ourselves. |

I was wondering about the osb above the exposed “Lincoln log” construction. Makes sense now. |

Looks like... paradise. There's nowhere else I'd rather be. Ours will be down just down the path from there. Looks like Hardie board siding Sure is, won't have to paint it in my lifetime. |

Sure is, won't have to paint it in my lifetime. Well...I expect you to stick around longer than that! I just had my Hardie board sided house repainted before Hurricane Dorian came through. It was built between 2005 and 2007, so that's only 12-14 years. Like I said, I expect you stick around much longer than that! |
