BB is a parody like the Onion or the Duffle Blog, except it’s Christian-oriented. Facebook apparently thought it was necessary to point out this is parody and not a real news story. ...which begs the question, "why are contributions even ALLOWED from people outside a Representative's district??" If ya don't live there...ya don't get to contribute to the Representative. Period. That's like saying I hate the people who live in AOC's district...so I'm going to sign over a ridiculous amount of money to get her - who I also can't stand - re-elected to represent the people I hate. Would it make too much sense to say that you can ONLY contribute to a campaign for YOUR representative?? (note: I don't hate AOC's constituents - probably. I don't even know them. Someone needs to force her to sit through a Civics class - and then pass an exam! 1. We are NOT a Democracy - we are a Constitutional Republic. 2. We do NOT govern by mob rule, and that is by design. Each STATE gets a relatively equal say in our election process, regardless of total population. That is to keep coastal elites (like her) from taking over and running OUR nation into the ground. The anti electoral college cries are simple to translate. We want to change the rules so we always win. And here's another little irony. The Founders didn't know that there was going to be a Democrat Party, so they have no constitutional rights to power.  But in reality, they knew all about the slave trade and the politicians who defended & depended on it. Almost 100 years before the Democrats started the Civil War to keep their slaves. By the time the Constitution was written, they knew all about voter fraud by the Slavery loving Parties. So just as they put into writing that civilians had a right to the same kind of arms as the Army, they put into writing the election laws to protect the Citizens from suffering eternal rule by the most populous States. |
