I can't think of anything good to say here. So I won't. |

Easy Rider was a huge influence on me when it first came out. Being a high school kid with a Harley in the 60s’, the romanticized riding lifestyle had an overwhelming appeal. Decades later I got to meet and visit with Peter Fonda - very nice guy. His fame had declined somewhat at that time, but it was still a very big deal for me. |

I can think of something good to say here, here goes. "Easy Rider" was one of the best MC movies ever. Launched Jack Nicholson's film career. Dennis Hopper's last film role was in "Hell Ride". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hell_Ride If you've not seen "Ulee's Gold", you should. RIP, Mr. Fonda. |

My funny "Peter Fonda" anecdote. Years ago when the now-defunct "California Motorcycle Company" renamed themselves "Indian Motorcycles" and attempted to revive the brand, they hosted a party at AMI during Daytona Bike Week. I was there. I rode down to Daytona, but my wife flew down and I was to pick her up at the airport. She said she was sitting next to some guy that everybody seemed to know because they kept stopping to talk to him. She found out after it was too late that it was Peter Fonda (she didn't know him from a hole in the wall). He was the Guest of Honor at the afore-mentioned party at AMI. In the intervening years, AMI was bought out by Wyotech and moved to the "Destination Daytona" location. My friend who was responsible for getting me into their industry parties retired shortly after that. Those were good times. |
