Asking for gambling advice on a motorcycle forum? Applications? Losing money, risking you future, and maybe gaining a few bucks. Fun. If you mean computer apos, then, Firefox browser. Your broker will use a Web based system. Chrome Browser Will Send All Your Data To A Really Rich guy. Avoid. You big decision is not software. It's what broker fits your needs. How much they charge per transaction & how. Annual or monthly fees? Remember if you trade 1000 shares and make 3 cents a share, is the cost of that transaction more than you "made"? |

All you have to do is sell your 2012 XB 12Rr, then find a stock that is at its highest price and spend all your money buying as much as you can afford. Then wait until the stock plunges to the lowest value it will ever have ; then sell. When you make millions doing that, come on back and share your wealth with us! |

Remember if you trade 1000 shares and make 3 cents a share, is the cost of that transaction more than you "made"? That's what I don't get about guys who do day trading. They wait for what seem to be small shifts and buy or sell but don't they have to pay for each transaction? Seems like it'd be hard to make more than you're paying. At least enough to make it worth the time and effort. I bought some crypto currency awhile back and it tripled in value, so I waited for the price to drop then bought some more. So far the value dropped more but I'm still money ahead. Just not enough to justify the time and effort. Which, whatever, I bought it with some money I had laying around so if it tanks it doesn't really affect me. Also, I've never understood the stock market. If I buy, OK, I just bought. But if I sell, who am I selling to? Are folks just standing around waiting to buy up my shares? Does someone say, "hey guys, Jesse's selling 29.43 shares" and someone else says, "yeah I'll take 'em at that price"? Seems like you can get out of stocks without arranging a buyer. Some day I'd like to go above and beyond the mutual/retirement funds and play with etrade or something like that but I need to learn more first. |

OP is a spammer from Ukraine, so I've banned him. I'll leave the thread up should anyone still want to discuss it. |

I thought my response was perfectly logical and fitting for someone who rides a 2012 XB12Rr! |

I was tempted to tell him about the education system and how they teach very little about stocks. Fair warning, if he asks for advice on writing, I will dig up the writings of L. Ron Hubbard on how to write. I'm still amazed at John Travolta's work on Battlefield Earth. It's an Oscar worthy job. Best movie adaptation that is better than the novel. You might argue about that, but I dare you to find a broader spread of quality. Btw, a correction to a past error. I had thought Dianetics was a response to a bar bet to create a religion so convincing that people would actually buy into it. Further, that Robert Heinlein was part of that bet, and that inspired the completion of a half written novel "Stranger In A Strange Land". According to Virginia Heinlein, that was not the case, Robert made no such bet. "Stranger.." had indeed taken decades to return to, ( why the novel seems like 2 different books crammed together ) but the religious and societal snark was a reaction to the Beat movement as it became the Hippie movement and the exploitation and corruption that was going to ruin it. That and a change in editors, as his previous one went to that circle of Dante's Hell described by Larry Niven as “In Hell, people who destroy treasure for a feeling of power are put in a bleak forest where they’re chased and torn apart by dogs,” However, Virginia said nothing I've read about the character Foster being an analog for L. Ron, and the allegations he was murdered by the Church leaders. I still think that's obviously so. As to Dianetics being the result of a bar bet at a con? No evidence, but it's a great story. "Stranger..." was started, and put away, then decades later finished. Heinlein had the idea, the first Earth to Mars flight crashes, and the sole survivor , a baby, was raised by Martians that teach him their logic & mental powers to survive on a hostile world. A years later Earth expedition would be given the teen to return "home" and then culture shock... Basically a fresh viewpoint to mock and criticize society. https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TheWat son You might recognize this plot from the Star Trek episode "Charlie X". But Heinlein got hung up there, possibly because he wasn't happy with his ideas on how to criticize and make his points? Then years later, he dusted it off, cut a novella's pile of Martian Story, and we got the result. Much of what was cut ended up as Red Planet, one of his top selling juveniles. |
