You also get a sideways twisting vibration because the left and right jug are not in the exact same plane as you look down on the engine. No doubt that will increase as you increase the size of the pistons. |

In my experience, any chassis torque (especially in low gear / high throttle applications) isn't engine-based, but driveshaft-based. Whack the throttle on a v-twin M109 with a shaft drive, and the back end lifts and steps sideways. Not the engine. My bikes also don't change lanes when I hit the front brake, with only one rotor on one side. And I never had a Fatboy get blown around any more or less than any other Softail in a cross-wind, because of solid wheels. 500 lbs is 500 lbs, and a strong wind is going to move it around. There's less facing area on the wheels than there is on the rest of the bike; they are not a factor. |

Tom, Joe, you're both correct. I'd have to think a minute about this dang thing... http://www.motorcycledaily.com/2019/06/triumph-rel eases-final-specs-for-rocket-3-tfc-already-sold-ou t-in-north-america/ |

On the third or fourth set of tires. My Uly went through 8 sets of tires in 42,000 miles. Lord knows that our beloved Buells weren't the most beautiful... Lil Red is one of the exceptions. |

Some may think Buells weren't beautiful, but that's just their a**holes talking. I think the S3-T Thunderbolt is one of the most beautiful motorcycles ever made. I have a friend who thinks the same about the S2. When I started that thread about beautiful bikes, I was surprised at how many really fugly bikes were on it. Hell, some people even put up pictures of KTMs! (I still think their designer was enamored with a basket of used razor blades). But that BMW fits into a category reserved for only a few bikes. I wish I had two of them; one to sh*t on and one to cover it up with. That's my opinion. |

Just so I'm clear on this, you didn't like the R7 nostalgia pseudo replica Jetsons edition? Or the Won't look this good when we ship it 1800cc cruiser/bobber/niche bike? I'm not buying either of them, so the ergonomics and practicality don't bother me. I know a guy who's thinking he will ride to Arizona from New York On a recently restored '74? Honda 90 & he just learned to ride this spring. Naturally I encourage him. He'll have the time of his life. |
