Dennis, I may not make the factory Thursday at 10:00 as I have to work Wednesday night on 3rd shift. I WILL be at LD's BBQ Thursday night. Brankin, Have we settled on a place and time to meet Wednesday prior to the tour? Good question! Unfortunately I don't have a good answer... A buddy who will be joining us on the BTS tour put a route together. His initial suggestion was starting with an early lunch at LD's. I posed the question that having lunch there one day might reduce the number of Buell's there for the bite night the next night, which he agreed it could. He said he would ride the route to ensure it's all good, check the length of time needed and scope out places for eats that could suit everyone. He said he would call me before I leave on my trip. Well, I am leaving after work today, and guess who I have not heard from? As a back up plan, we could always plan to meet up at the museum say between 12:30 and 12:45. The museum staff has reiterated that the tour starts at 1:00 p.m. sharp so I sure hope that we don't have any stragglers - I'd hate for the actions of a small number of people affect the tour for everyone... Does everyone have their heart set on a group ride, or is just meeting at the museum an acceptable option? | ||

I guess I could be considered localish and have driven past the museum a couple of times. My only advice is that there is no real direct way to get there and the side streets can be a little wonky so don't cut your travel time close. In other words allow time for 'exploring'. As far as where to stop for lunch... I'm not that local. | ||

That HD cafe restaurant is there across the drive. I counted on arriving early, grabbing a bite and loitering. Maybe a ride out to Uke's Buell display afterwards or the Iron Horse... etc. DAve | ||

Bill do you have accommodations or should I bring extra? I'VE BEN IN Detroit for the 3D printing expo this whole week. When I get home, I need to do a fuel pump replacement on the S3 before its ready, and I still need to figure out how to get two bikes in a one bike trailer, just in case one of you has a burning passion to own the BETA SX. And I just remembered I forgot to make my reservation for the Country View Campground. Oh crap it was my mom's birthday this week.. it just keeps piling up I need this break. | ||

What became of the plan to attend the Fuel Café on 5th St. before the Museum? How dare you use that 4-letter word on a family forum?!?! That's right - "plan"! Plan is such a strong word... But I digress - that's my attempt at humor. For the serious part of my post, just in case it's needed to text info on Wednesday, I put my cell phone number in my profile. My buddy chose an interesting route if anyone is interested in a group ride from the East Troy area to the museum. 60 miles taking 90 minutes - with some construction even! I think he's gone to the scenic end of the spectrum... The proposal for meetup for the ET group ride is the Princess Cafe for a late breakfast. It's good and filling. My hearts not set on a group ride - it will only happen with sufficient interest. I will be equally satisfied if we all meet up at the museum between 12:30 and 12:45 on Wednesday, or if we all ride as a group from ET, or if there are multiple options for food pre-museum. The main thing is I don't want to cut our time at the museum short because anybody is about to die from starvation.  | ||

Given the weather is likely hit and miss for group riding Wednesday, I like the idea of a meetup at the Fuel cafe before the tour. That way if the weather is poor people can trickle in. I know that contradicts my earlier post about the Princess café, but that's just how wishy-washy I can be. | ||

Based on the weather, I decided to ride down Tuesday night. Looking at the forecast, looks like the rain will break in the morning. If it does, I'll meet you guys at the Princess Cafe in East Troy. If not, I'll just meet you guys at the museum. | ||

Keep in mind that the HD Museum "special tour" is locked in but anyone could do their own "regular Joe Public" HD Museum visit. "Fuel Cafè"? Will Team Füell show up with the new Fluid or Flow? I'll be at one or the other before the tour. I have to decide on wheels. DAve | ||
