Sportsterpaul is on his way, and Adrenaline Junky is supposed to arrive around dinner time. I'm fixing spaghetti and meatballs for dinner. Everything is looking good, except maybe the weather. They're calling for scattered thunderstorms in Springfield for Saturday and Sunday morning. However, I remember one year, ('86 or '87) when the Indy 500 got rained out, but it stayed dry in Springfield. We'll just have to see. | ||

Rode out to Vonore and back yesterday evening to my buddy's camper on the lake. DAMMIT if the entire motorcycle EXCEPT the gearbox isn't in great condition. F#&kety F*^k. The motor just sang to me. Sigh. Keep posting, friends. | ||

I heard sawdust will quiet down a gear box. Ooh Ooo, I just remembered to put the ticket in my jacket. that would have got on a nerve or two.  Note: When I do plug in the tender, It is set up to pull out if I forget to unplug it. The tender is in a wire cage suspended from the ceiling. It will make a racket. But will not tear anything up. I have snatched the tender off a shelf in the past. The bag on top is full of dry clothes, just in case. Top box has CPAP, fuel, distilled water, Jump cables, tire plug kit, air compressor, and a fuel transfer pump. I was going to go light. I am still working on that. It is getting lighter. | ||

All this rain shot my chances of going out east first in the foot, but I'm still going to make the mile and homecoming festivities. Crusty and crew should be by here in a couple of hours. I am listening to the thunder roll. Looking at the radar, it appears to be a short but intense storm moving quickly through. I'll have clean streets for them. I really should be loading the bike now. | ||

Those all appear to be the "after BBQ" shots... especially Roadcrust. We had burgers, sourced from a steer in a nearby county, fed on grass and good stuff, and love, you could taste it. 95% lean, improvised a bit to actually retain a burger shape and not Sloppy Joe's. Needed more binder, fixed it Hoping to have an epic staycation, not the same as what youn's have upcoming. PICS!!! | ||

On the way to Jerry and Carol's yesterday I noticed my voltage gauge was only showing one green light instead of two. Then, while cruising at 75 mph, my engine light came on. When I pulled off the highway it went out but once up to speed it came back. Once I got off the interstate it went out and stayed out and never came back on. So I'm thinking the VR is about to take a dump and it just can't handle 4000 rpm's for any length of time. I might take the back roads up to Springfield in order to make it last. I might see if it left a code with ecmspy too. I'll leave around noon so see y'all soon. | ||
