I was working at Don Edmunds Autoresearch in 1977 when Lauda won the F1 title the next season after the horrific crash. Nothing but admiration.
Surprised this hadn't become a topic among the gearheads here.

His on-track rivalry and off-track friendship with James Hunt was a large part of my teen years and a big reason why I follow F1 to this day.
A man to be admired. RIP.
