I just amended my schedule RQ's off, realized I'll need to make it to Crusty's Thursday. Then a 4 hour ride to Carol and Jerry's Friday. Then... SATURDAY!!! SUNDAY!!! Then, ride back to Crusty's, then home Tuesday. Planning to enjoy the ride up/back two days each. Just trying to make sure my itinerary's solid. RD, Crusticle, Pwn, Ad Junk, et al, chime in as to your plans. | ||

I am currently unemployed so my schedule is wide open. That being said, I'm working to change my unemployed status and that could change things, but so far the guy I'm talking to doesn't think an extra long weekend will be a problem if we come to an employment agreement. | ||

My best laid plan: 1. Get job. 2. Get off work on Thursday, May 23. Ride like the wind to Crusty's house. Arrive about O'Dark:30. 3. Get up Friday. Start putting the band back together. Ride with Crusty and Squid to Indianapolis and meet Ourdee at Ray's Music Exchange. Then, ride on to the Ruffner's in Mason and finish putting the band back together......with BBQ. 4. Get up Saturday and eat the marvelous breakfast that Carol has planned. 5. Ride to Springfield. Check into the Rt. 66 motel. Go to the track and watch the TT races. I'm one of those weird people that actually is looking forward to the TT more than the mile. Some people have warned me that experiencing both first hand may sway my preference. 6. Sunday, The Mile! 7. Sunday evening. Set around with anyone who hasn't beetled off for home and BS about everything we've seen and experienced all weekend. Possibly while eating BBQ. 8. Monday morning. Head back to Crusty's place with part of the band. Depending on the time of arrival in Cincinnati I may ask to stay at Crusty's place again or head the 4 extra hours on to West By God Virginia in the wee hours of Monday evening. I kind of expect to ride the last 4 hours on Tuesday. My schedule is wide open to amendments, revision or just wad it up and toss it.....as long as I see fellow Buellers and motorcycle racing of some sort, I'll be happy. If I get a new job before the race and can't get extra time off, I'll meet you all in Springfield late Saturday but I'll still wait until Monday to head back, I just might have to start my Monday morning ride at first light and take the quickest (slab) way back. Leaving Wednesday and taking backroads. Hope to arrive at Jerry and Carol's at a civilized time Friday. Saturday, ride to Springfield and check in to motel with Oz666. races Sunday - races and much BSing. Monday, head for East Troy. Wednesday BTST at Harley museum in Milwaukee. Starts getting fuzzy, too far out. VACATION!!! | ||

Roy; It's 300 miles from Springfield to my house. It's 200 from my house to yours. Google says that if you come by my house, it will take you about 30 minutes extra in travel time than if you head straight home from Springfield. Google says that it's 7 hours and 45 minutes straight through and about 15 miles shorter. You're more than welcome to stop here anytime. If you don't want to push it, you can kick back with Brad and me. Hopefully, the new job won't put the skids on your trip. I haven't gone anywhere since last fall, and I'm REALLY looking forward to the weekend. | ||

If schedules get moved up, the Ruffner Ranch will have someone here by 130 (maybe all day) Thursday as well. Just let us know if we will have early arrivals so I can prepare food for that evening. | ||

My plan: Leave out of kc Tuesday morning, stl by lunch, see my tattoo guy, depending on how much he hurts continue to head east. Wednesday night in Charlestown, WV to see old friends Thursday afternoon in sc to take my mom to dinner, maybe wheels through time if I have a few hours Friday night staying in Nashville with an old friend, maybe farther north depending how I feel Saturday check in at route 66 and head to the TT Sunday the mile Monday head to traverse city to see my aunt, take her to dinner Tuesday ride the U.P. over to Wisconsin, maybe make it to Milwaukee, if not then I will finish the trip on Wednesday morning Wednesday bts tour and hopefully bbq Thursday homecoming festivities/road america Friday road America Saturday head back to kc, maybe stay with friends in dsm if I get tired of pushing it Looking at probably 4K in 10 or so days. The uly burns enough oil I shouldn't have to worry about changing it, likely have to add 1.5 quarts during that mileage  (Message edited by cupcake_mike on May 06, 2019) | ||

Gonna rebuild the alternator tomorrow/next day, my mechanic has a rear tire on order. I even went and got my new TN DMV registration sticker today for the BMW. Need to get a new, bright auxillary brake light just in case my stock taillight falls off. | ||

Tires are in good shape. Converted to LED tail/brake lights last week. Have oil cooler kit to install before trip. Larger gas tank won't happen before the Mile. | ||

My Uly is ready. I'm planning to head out however early I need to in the early Friday am to be at the 04 ranch by noon er so. Rigging a trailer hitch on my van to either carry the Uly or trailer it. Plan to sleep in my plush little conversion van. It seems so small beside the motorhome. I'll be heading back home after the checkers fall. Are we doing BBQ some specific time? I will alter my plan as needed for great BBQ!  | ||

Sometime around dinnertime on Friday, I'd think. Beyond that, I don't know. My small group (Me, Roy, RD and Brad) should be there around mid-afternoon. Vern is shooting for early afternoon and Zack is aiming at a "Civilized Time". When are Matthew & Gretchen arriving? And who else is coming? Are Froggy and Dani going to be there? Charles is coming up from New Orleans but I don't know when or if he's coming to the party. I'm willing to go along with the group, but there are too many question marks at present. | ||

Next, you are going to make a thread about meeting on the Moon and then assuming I'll be there. (I probably will be) I don't think I'll be making it for BBQ. I can't travel as far per day with her, I suspect I'll be in Columbus for Friday night. |
