If they don't get criminally prosecuted, I hope they at least have to pay all the taxes they skated on, and it breaks them completely. Put 'em in the poorhouse.
Joe, If I was an ex-President, it would be hard to break me. Every time I bought a property I'd have a house built on it for the secret service. Then I would rent that house to the government at a rate that would make all the payments on that property. Positive cash flow on every purchase.
. . . and there ain't a damn thing you can do about it.
The upside . . . is that the Clinton's have so raised the bar for what America has come to tolerate the it's unlikely anyone will be prosecuted for anything well into the foreseeable future.
We've had our tolerance level raised light years beyond where we ever dreamed.
We see heinous things and can't recall them 10 days hence . . .
it's unlikely anyone will be prosecuted for anything
It's not a two way street. Politicians can generally only be prosecuted if they have an R attached to their names. I'm assuming primarily because only conservatives believe that there is such a thing as right and wrong, whereas the modern liberal believes that morals are all subjective, and therefore "all things are permissable".... In other words, Soviet destabilization operations are working according exactly according to plan. Where is cityxslicker when you need him?
Indeed! I won't say things have gone exactly as he predicted, but battle plans never do. The fact seems to be that our enemies are every bit as entrenched in our government as he had been claiming. It's clear that they have decided that it's time for action. It's heartbreaking seeing this sort of thing happen to a country like Venezuela. It's an entirely different level of horror to watch it here in the US.
James Comey went to the press, publicly announced a list of felonies he had hard evidence were committed by Hillary, then declared he wouldn't prosecute, because he thought she didn't mean to. And because his boss, the Attorney General, had recused herself after a meeting with the felon's husband, he decided not to consult an assistant AG, and that despite the law, he was judge, jury, and excuse-itor.
Or in simple English, F%&$ you, the law, my oath, responsibility, and Donald Hitler Trump.
If you look at the door plaque as the scene unfolds. The governor's last name is "Le Petomane". Wikipedia has quite a piece on that name and who it was. I will let you see the first paragraph. The article is long.
"Le Pétomane (/ləˈpɛtəmeɪn/, French pronunciation: ləpetɔˈman]) was the stage name of the French flatulist (professional farter) and entertainer Joseph Pujol (June 1, 1857 – 1945). He was famous for his remarkable control of the abdominal muscles, which enabled him to seemingly fart at will. His stage name combines the French verb péter, "to fart" with the -mane, "-maniac" suffix, which translates to "fartomaniac". The profession is also referred to as "flatulist", "farteur", or "fartiste".[1]"
