I used to sit around my garage and stare at my bikes too... |

LOL. Having the same bike for over 10 years now, I have mostly gotten over staring at her. But I have to admit I gave her a bath last weekend and threw some polish on. Take off the layer of dead bugs/roadscum and put a nice polish shine on...she was still DAMN purty. I caught myself staring at her just like in the old days. I can honestly say I love my 1125R (as much as a person can love an inanimate object, of course.) |

Ummm- if your 1125R is an "inanimate object", you're doing it wrong. |

Hey Willmrx, do you give 2 up rides? Taking off the passenger footpegs would cleanup the lines a little bit.. Looks like you have the Quickshifter installed too! question: How did you get the sprocket cover back on? Did you have to cut some off to make it fit? Yes, I do 2 rides on the 2009, but I took them off the 2008. And yes I did cut the cover, but it was a tiny bit. All they need to do is use a spacer with a smaller ID and the cover would fit. |

My 1190RS is in the front office at the shop. I've had her since March 2015, she has 1500 miles on the Odo(all mine, I did my own PDI) and I still can't believe she's mine. I get to look at her several times a day. Thanks Erik!!! Z |

It is a winter office decoration? Does she come out to play when the weather warms up? |

She goes outside every now and then. Mostly limited by fuel availability... Sunoco 260GTX is what she's happiest with. Andrew at IDS thinks she'll be OK on pump premium and the OEM ECM maps. we'll see... Running the race map Tim sent me, at the Mile Sprints, she ran close to 20 degrees cooler with the Sunoco, over 91 octane no-alcohol... |

I found that too! "Race gas" at even the equal octane is just SO much nicer than the random junk that comes out of the pump. Now at $4.87/gal locally for super+, race gas isn't even that much more $$ |

Race gas here (100 octane) is at $8/gal. Not only do I get to look at my 2009 XB12R everyday, I ride it to work and back everyday. Since they are painting our buildings at work, I get to park it outside my office too. Needs a wash and polish this weekend due to the road grime and that cloud of bugs I keep riding through. The front fairing is almost black instead of white... |

I can get 100 octane ethanol-free out here for about $3.99 a gallon |

Just realized the price break on my registration rapefest. Uly was $49 plus $100 late fee. 1190RS was$299 plus $100. 1190 doesn't get plates again for a while... |

My California registration fees where,$141 for the 2008, and 2009 $143! I feel your pain! Being raped is one thing, being raped with sand is another! |

Zac--Not sure in CO, but in CA if you plan to not register the vehicle, you need to file it as a non-op. Otherwise, the rapists will come after you for the unpaid registration fees (and I am sure a whole slew of penalties) for the prior year(s) whenever you decide to register her to put her back on the road or sell. DOn't ask me how I know. |

NON-OP for SURE. I paid more for Cali registration than I paid for my 1970 El Camino because the Meth-head didn't non op it for 3 years... $1600... because it's a "commercial truck" ugh The Buell was $147, the EBR $146, and 2 more to go! Whee! |

SHoggin, didn't you have a method to get around the fees? |

You can sell/register out of state to a friendly state like Idaho or Florida that does give a sheet with an address (and not even a state ID), then bring it back to Cali but I like the black plates and wasn't up for the hassle. I went from $1400 every year for reg on a new HD diesel truck to $40 for TWO years just by changing the reg to my moms address in Orygun. The law says if you spend 6 months and a day in another state, the reg should be in that state so I don't even get hassled driving around Cali with Orygun plates. |

You had to physically take the vehicle to Oregon as they have a physical inspection requirement to the the registration? I think. |

I didn't have to do any inspection stuff? Never drove the truck there. But it was a diesel, so every other year they would want to smog check it. They would send me a form to my Cali address that said 'is it a diesel', I would check 'yes' and send it back in. Easy Peasy. Idaho is ridiculously easy, I just called their DMV, I have a friend with an address there, but they never even asked me for it! I'm ready to plate all the bikes there. $26 each and saved a ton on insurance as well. My only car I plan on keeping is the '57 and I like the black plates so that one will stay, the rest are Idaho from now on |

Eastern Washington is easy. My 2009 XB was titled and registered there due to mileage issues (less than 600 and non-california bike). They send all paperwork and yearly re-register forms to my California address. I do want my cali-dmv tags though. Already waited in line twice without getting to the counter, and one of those days I had an appointment. Way to run your DMV CA... |
