No. He crashed at the end of the back straight, which is the beginning of the set of turns depicted. The first pic is the last turn before the high speed sweeper. Turn 15, I believe. (Message edited by hootowl on April 17, 2019) | ||

Track is bumpy in places. F1 cars tear it up pretty good. I thought it was a nice facility, overall. | ||

I am sure it's a world class facility, but the track layout is lousy (and bumpy)....just the opposite of Laguna Seca. I just don't see the logic at all to have all those long straights end in acute angle turns. It's no wonder COTA is one of the least favorite GP track from the rider's perspective. | ||
