Question for the smart folks here - can any HD dealer order Buell stuff? Im wanting to pick up some 1125R fairing mounting pieces, adn was curious if I could contact my local HD dealer, who hadnt been a Buell dealer since about 2002ish, or if I needed to contact one that was a Buell dealer until the end. Just trying to save some time and gas money. Thought I'd ask here as the idea came to me tonight and it was after hours for the dealerships | ||

Used to be ‘no’, but could have changed. Try them, then St Paul HD. Also, https://www.hdwinchester.com/ my local dealer, sells parts for and services Buells, so you could try them, too. (Message edited by ducbsa on March 22, 2019) | ||

Some do some don't. Case in point, the same folks own the San Jose and Livermore HD Dealers. San Jose will not order parts for any of my Buells unless they have the same part number as my sportster, but the Livermore folks will order anything Buell (last time I checked anyway). Call first and ask. | ||

...can any HD dealer order Buell stuff? I was just at Arrowhead Harley in Phoenix last week and asked that very question. The parts manager said, "Yes we can, all HD dealers can. The thing is some dealers don't want to be bothered so they will tell you they can't. The other issue is that many Buell parts are no longer available." I can also tell you that in some dealerships you will get a different answer depending on who you ask. G | ||

I can't understand why any H/D dealer would not want to make a parts sale. After all they have to order most parts beyond an oil filter anyway. And the local H/D dealer I used always made me pay up front before ordering... they have nothing to lose if you don't return. | ||

Yep all HD dealers can now order Buell parts, you are no longer required to go to a Buell specific one. | ||

Lance is no longer at St. Paul HD. While he was there, tho, he bought a lot of Buell inventory from Vintage Parts, Any HD dealer can order from Vintage, individuals can't. Just an FYI Z | ||

I still get emails from the guy who took over from Lance whenever they have some special. I would say St. Paul HD would be the place to go. | ||
