With temps below zero, my Buell on a tender, and no snowmobile to run, I broke out my old TEAC 4 track and created an instrumental album. I was really interested to see what was involved in getting songs onto iTunes (sum it up by saying lots of forms). Anyway, the album is now on iTunes under the name Dr.TJL (finding a name that is not taken was one of the most frustrating parts of the process). I used a combination of a Strat, an Explorer, a PRS, and a Gretsch BST. Essentially done with single takes, next time I think I will take more time redoing and dubbing, though then I probably would never get it finished. Not trying to earn a living, just trying to get to Spring and good riding weather.

I'd love to check it out, but sadly I don't have iTunes... I could host the files for free download to all on my webserver if you like. I can create an FTP folder you can upload to... ...if you want. |

Thanks Pwnzor. I should add that the songs can be found on YouTube, and I believe they are free to listen to on YouTube you just can't download them. Another Buell riding friend told me he liked Road House Jam and Rise of The Dragon best. It was a fun project that helped justify my latest guitar purchase. |

Listening to it on YouTube. Like it. Pretty Strat, what edition is it? G |

Thanks! It's a 2010 American Standard with an alloy pick guard, Seymour Duncan bridge and neck pickups, and a 69 Abby signed middle pickup. I also added a switch to activate the neck pickup with any combination. Strats are a bit like Buell in that they take well to customizing. |

The added switch had me wondering. Thanks. G |

Sounds like fun. I'll check it out tomorrow. BTW: There are plenty of tools out there to download YouTube videos/music in just about any format you want. Just provide a link and click a box... |

Now that my songs are on iTunes, I can use analytics to track the downloads, not enough sales to start a new career, but it has been interesting. 12 downloads in Poland (not sure why Poland) and 3 in Japan. Riding weather is coming soon so next album will have to be next Winter's project. |
