So sorry to hear about your sister. It's hard enough to deal with your own health, but it's harder to have to watch someone else go through it.
My mom just recently completed a chemo stint for ovarian cancer. They caught it early enough, fortunately, but in the process we discovered that she carries a cancer causing gene mutation (ATM) that was passed on to my sister. I am being tested to see if I got it too.
Cancer sucks.
Praying for you and your sister that God will be an inexorable force for peace and comfort for you and your family as you go through this difficult time.
Glitch- so glad you got that CD. Repeated listenings will reveal how well made that recording is. Good for the soul, fo sho. How about that title track?

Hey yall! Sorry for the late update - it's been A DAY!
Doc is pleased with how well the surgery went. We didn't get to leave the hospital until after 2:00 (surgery was over around 10am) because his blood pressure was elevated and he was having nosebleeds. So, they kept him a bit longer through recovery to monitor these issues, as well as let him get good and awake to make sure he was ok to come home. His blood pressure returned to normal and they determined that the nose bleeds were in the normal range for the procedure. As I've said before, they don't mess around when it comes to Glitch. His care team takes amazing care of him.
Of course, he's miserable and is having trouble getting settled. Not only is he in pain and feels like he can't breathe, he's having trouble unwinding from the day. We've spent the last bit trying to find a comfortable spot and positions and a drug store run for meds and other supplies.
I'm hoping I can get some sort of food in him soon to help soak up some of his meds and regulate his blood sugar. Maybe make him feel less jittery and anxious.
I will let you know how he's doing tomorrow. I'm ready to un-frazzle myself!

OK, folks. He made it through the surgery; now comes't the tough part. This is when he's really going to need cards and lots of Positive Energy. He needs tangible proof that we're all behind him and pulling for him. Cards, letters, jokes, etc are all good things. I can't describe how much of a lift I got from cards when I had my heart surgery. They really helped me a lot.
Glitch is one of the really positive influences on Badweb. He's gone out of his way to help others out many times. Now, we get the opportunity to help him.
I'm praying for a speedy recovery, and I'm looking for light hearted cards to help cheer him and Anne both. And I'm thankful that it went well, so far.

This is GREAT NEWS and . . . Thanks Ann for taking time to bring all of us . . . eagerly waiting for news . . . up to speed.
I'm all over that idea of sending more cards . . . I'm guessing that after what Glitch has been through that cards and prayers are just about as good as pain meds . . . to lift the spirits. So . . . I'd keep the card thing going.
I am so thrilled to hear things went so well.
Remember . . . mold Buell saying . . . "We are mobile, agile and hostile"

A thought on the side; When I had nose work done after a crash, the doctors used cocaine on my nasal passages. I was jittery and wide awake till after the sun came up the next day. If they used anything like that, it should pass by tomorrow. How long did the doctor say till he feels better?
