Elizabeth Warren announces 2020 bid for president
I certainly understand wanting an America where dreams are possible, and that works for everyone. Undoing the "terrible acts" of Trump though. Unemployment is at historic lows for minorities. Getting them participating in the American dream is an amazing first step. Trump has done many things that have the economy working better than the left claimed they could do in their political promises. Let me be clear on this next point. As bothersome as it is to use this sort of dishonest rhetoric in political speech, the really troubling aspect is that she really does want to undo what Trump has done. Never mind that what has been done is working. She and the other socialist/communist politicians really do want to transform America into the next Marxist hell hole. I'm really not clear if they are really that ignorant to the realities of what the preach, or if they are just evil. Frankly, it's difficult to imagine rising to that level of power and still being that ignorant. I really hope that the people don't fall for this BS. History is clear that people do fall for con jobs offering short cuts that seem too good to be true. The US has been an amazing experiment in world history. It's shameful to see people that want to destroy it from the inside. There is not doubt in my mind that the socialists have decided it's time to come out of the closet and do the full court press for control. If they succeed, I don't think the wold will be the same for a very long time. It will be far worse for the world than losing Venezuela. It will be a very sad day. | ||

The Smollett case is just like the high school kid case - people need to be held accountable for their bullshit claims. When you openly lie about stuff like this, you violate OTHER people's rights - and that does NOT fall under First Amendment rights. And calling it out does NOT fall under "racism" or anything like that - if you're full of shit, and you get caught at it...shame on YOU. Not shame on me for calling you out. And I echo Court's thoughts above - the problem isn't that these people are having these stupid thoughts. The problem is, these people are ALREADY in positions of power, they can ALREADY make decisions that affect all of our lives, and WE - through either inaction/complacency, or through simply being uninformed and not understanding what we're doing when we vote for a particular candidate - are the ones responsible for putting them there. I know damned well what rights I value and which candidates stand for what, when I vote. Does everyone here? Does everyone we know? Or (and I'm sure this is the case)...do we all know people who treat it like an SAT test - simply fill in circle "C" on everything and hope for the best? "Other people" won't save us. That's the Democrat mantra - "you don't have to do it, the Almighty State will take care of you". It is up to US, to do the right thing for this great nation. Its called "personal responsibility", and we need to bring it back. We need to take our personal roles seriously. We need to spread the word about what these idiots are doing - and we need to do it the RIGHT way. We can't pick fights over it. We can't call names. We need to be logical, responsible, polite, and educational. It's a long fight. We need to eventually overhaul our school systems to get the lefty scourge out of our children. But first, we need to get their masters out of office - it's a chicken-and-egg debate, but something needs to be done. It needs to be pointed out how hateful this late-term abortion really is - and how it reflects on the politicians who are pushing it. It needs to be pointed out how horrible Socialism truly is, and what effects it truly has on the countries who try it. It needs to be pointed out where this GND is going to lead - no more cars, no more nice houses, no more vacations, no more independent mobility. It needs to be pointed out that the GND in fact, IS SOCIALISM. They may be painting it to look like the world of Star Trek - shiny, prosperous, advanced, happy - but in reality, when they say things like "adequate housing" and "family-supporting wages"...and come right out and use the term WORKER...it's the Soviet Union they're going to turn us into. Dark, dreary, depressed, gray, no chance for advancement, no rewards for working harder...and the resulting lack of ambition and drive. I work harder than I have to, so I can have a nice house. It's admittedly more than I "need" to stay safe and healthy...but I want it. So, I work harder to support it. I don't want to work "hard enough", and end up in an "adequate" house - it's not how I'm wired, and it's not what this country was founded on. But...they want an entire society to GIVE UP. They want to neuter all of us folks who DO work "harder" with insane tax rates, so we don't see any benefit of working harder. They want everyone to quit trying - because ambition makes competition, and competition for them is the last thing they want to see. They don't want any threats. They aren't taxing the rich because they want the money - they're proposing a 70+% "tippy top" tax rate because they want people to quit working that hard, and quit being that successful, so that the "workers" only see the presence of the Democrats as "leaders". No competition. No chance for advancement. No chance for self-betterment. No Rockefellers. No Kennedys. No Trumps. No Fords. No Dodge brothers. No Davidsons, no Harleys, no Teslas, no Edisons. Because there would simply be no desire to be "better"...and soon enough, we'll have the entire concept of "better" completely bred out of our society, by the ruling class. Somehow, that's their perverted dream - I guess because it eliminates any chance at racism or identity crap. Nobody can be seen as 'worse', if nobody is working any harder to be 'better'... I still haven't figured out who'd want to rule something like that. I'd MUCH rather rule a glamourous, successful, cutting-edge group of people than a pile of miserable, worthless, unhappy humans...but I guess we don't need to understand why. Oddly, the police will make you a priority. No one is suing Nathan for cash. It's behavior modification. If he's not more careful about intimidation and dishonesty, he should pay the price.
