I've always liked the TQ-style wheels. Scored a set of 17" Ridlers at Carlisle a few years ago, for my Satellite:  I've thought about a set for my Grand Cherokee as well...but its not like the Summit has bad looking wheels on it now so I haven't justified the expense yet. | ||

Hyper Black is supposedly some kind of black paint that reflects a silvery color when the light hits it. The guy I talked to at Tire Rack said they look different in person than in the pictures. I can't wait to see my car lowered on new rims... coil overs and suspension braces... going to be a whole new ride. Also ordering a new rag top for it. That should be tons of fun to install... so I'm going to pay somebody else to do it. | ||

Yes, the coil over package has adjustable ride height. Going to drop the car about 1.2-1.7 inches, somewhere in there. Going to let the guy doing the install advise me on what's most practical. Yes, there is a hard top. They are proud as f*ck of those things, and they still cost as much as they did when brand new. New rag top is about $600 plus the cost of installation. Used hard top is about $2600, and I can't put it down with one hand while still driving slowly. So... rag top it is. | ||

The new rag tops are as good as a hard top. I've got an Audi S5 Cabriolet and the top not only looks good . . . but, can be operated up to some ridiculously fast speed . . . I try to only operate when stopped . . . but, know folks who have operated the top at 40mph. The new convertibles are amazing. | ||

Wheels and tires are bought and paid for. Picking them up tomorrow, it's that most recent set I posted. New convertible top arrives next week Tuesday or Wednesday. Chassis braces and sway bars arrive in 4-6 weeks from UK. Coil over package gets ordered today, along with suspension arms and drag links. Considering a custom made roll bar as well... recent changes to local track regulations mean I can't use any of the existing models available. It's all starting to come together. | ||

The wheels were ready by 1500 today. I picked them up and they look amazing. They are not black... more like metallic gunmetal color. In any case I am extremely pleased. Tire Rack gets my recommendation.  | ||

Tire Rack is great. I also happen to know the owner of a resort that they use every year for a corporate getaway. He has great things to say about them as guests at the resort. Pleasant and easy to please, even when plans have to get changed at the last minute. They open their test track up for a lot of auto cross events for a wide variety of clubs. I'm told it's an awesome track that can be configured many different ways.  | ||
