I liked the factory tour. Of course, I'd GLADLY exchanged the HD tour time for opportunity to have someone open all the racks to browse all the Buells :-) Good value anyhow! Thanks for the lunch EBR! Great photos! DAve |

Just added my pics to the album, including the group photos - good, bad and ugly... But if anyone wants/needs original source pics, PM me. I'll send whatever is requested after I get back to NC and situated a bit. Gotta get cleaned up and will be headed to breakfast soon. |

A nice suprise. We were treated to a Fuell Fluid & Flow (preproduction) in East Troy WI during a small Buell & EBR gathering. A phone app controls ignition and the functions like releasing & automatically sliding the seat back for charging.

Well, guess my uly didn't want to go home quite yet. Im about 140 miles from home, bethany Missouri. 160 miles ago my clutch decided to lock up tighter than a Chinese finger trap after getting gas, its like when the clutch cable breaks but it didn't. I took it all apart in the parking lot, saw no missing metal and adjusted everything, it looks like it is working right, but it's not. I just put a new clutch in 5k miles ago, i probably screwed something up, but damn i would expect it to rear its head earlier than this. It just so happened to be downhill out of the gas station parking lot so i was able to get going without using the clutch. This gas stop though, i didn't have as much luck, this station pointed uphill...i pulled a big wheelie but it still died and a bad electrical and mechanical noise was made, hope i didn't just eat a basket or pinion gear. Called roadside and they will tow me all the way home, gratis; thanks progressive. Just waiting on the truck, counting the teeth of the meth heads roaming around. The last week on the road was fun, can't imagine a better way to end it. |

I had told someone once about how we used to take sheets of Honda stickers to "disguise" mules. The classic is still the Griffin . . when the H-D handlers came to check on Buell assets. They walked right past it, chalking it up to "unrelated to Buell". While anyone of you would have immediately notice the BUELL cast into the primary side of the case. I took a handful of photos of all the "Buells of interest" that got retained, hidden or were subject to mysterious disappearance following the 2009 Keith Coup.. . .including renderings of the world's coolest triple that never happened. Great memories. |

Anyone else at Homecoming think the motorbike looked a little dull? I don't want it to look like a motorcycle but it lacked pizazz in my opinion. It was so cool to see it and hear about it that I didn't think out the style until well on my way home. |

I actually liked it. It has Buell proportions to it. Looks like a Baby-9. |

Personally, I can't wait until the patents are in place and the covers can be removed from its rear wheel. Perhaps that is just me though... |

How sad will you be when you find out it stays for aerodynamics? |

Aesthetically, I just don't care for it at all. |

How sad will you be when you find out it stays for aerodynamics? I would've thought for sure someone with a Cherry Bomb bike would have an understanding of covers that are there, but you can see through... |

Even the cherry bomb translucent covers had another two covers underneath that hid the air cleaner and the exhaust valve actuator. |

I eliminated the aesthetic need for those two covers on Lil Red. I sent the pretty exhaust valve actuator cover to you. (Message edited by ourdee on June 02, 2019) |

An edited thank you to EBR for hosting the gathering. ( sent via FB messenger) Mr. Melvin, On behalf of all the attendees at the Buell EBR homecoming in East Troy last week I want to thank you, Kim Tordik, and EBR for allowing us to gather at the EBR office. I also want to thank you for picking up the lunch at Gus's Drive in. That was unexpected, and a kind gesture. We had a wonderful time, and while EBR won't be the same without Erik directly involved, I'm glad to hear the company has been profitable, and you plan for EBR to continue building these amazing bikes as a limited production. ..( edit) ..I also am wondering about a conversation I had with Steve Smith in 2016 about the possibility of support for legacy Buells. At that time Steve thought it might be a good venture as HD discontinues support for the Buell products. Since you're planning to continue the company for the near future, Is that still in the leadership discussions? I know there are some things about the company you are not prepared to disclose publicly at this time, but many of us are rooting for the rollout of halted designs from the elves of EBR. Thank you again. Steve Morin, (Mnscrounger on Badweb) |

I am trying to get my garage and gear organized. Tonight I hauled out my Criss Cross III tent and removed the inflatable mattress from it and packed them right. I am trying to get organized enough that the next Georgia run will be packed light and on LilRed. Not a trailer! I ran to Springfield with just a top case and one top bag. Better but not there yet. |

For anyone heading to Rockerbox this weekend at Road America, I will have my (limited) stash of past, unsold HOMEcoming tee shirts in the paddock. I have shirts from 2016 to 2019, still $20 each. Look for Honda racer #988 or the street 1190RS in the paddock under an EBR EZ-up There's also a Red Pontiac Aztek for you to make fun of! Stop by or send me a PM to arrange a meetup. Afterwards I'll entertain sales with shipping. Hope to see other Buellers this weekend to cheer on the home team racers! |
