However; I have found a BBQ joint in Springfield just up from the Harley dealer called the Hickory River Smokehouse. I have no idea if it's any good; Trip Advisor gives it high marks, though. It might be a good place for dinner on Friday evening. Hey; I just looked at the menu; they have Southern Style Okra! Breaded and deep-fried! I'm going to get some to see what it tastes like! Yup; a half rack of ribs with a side of beans and a side of Okra! He was the pole vaulter in high school and I was the high jumper. His record was broken last year, or finally as he says! I have not been there yet but will be checking it out one of these days!
