Went to the "Ohio Jeep Fest" last Friday. Paid 45 bucks to get in... I got to drive my jeep on a Motocross track... and over some obstacles they had set up. I had some pork loin wrapped in bacon and smoked... twas tasty! Looked at all the vendors stuff that I didn't need or want... and then went home.

I'm headed to Carlisle (Chryslers) this weekend. I can drag my '92 XJ along if anyone wants to buy it - 4.0 I6, auto, 4x4, 4door, runs great but needs a brake line, 2" lift, 31's, alloys, not pretty but decently solid. Needs rockers but floors and frames are good, HID lights, interior is original and not hateful but not real pretty. I can get pics if anyone's interested. I'd drive it up if it wasn't for the brake line... |

Well again not a jeep here but a guy hit my truck. While it was parked in front of my house.
Had his insurance company pay me directly, and "there, I fixed it".
I like this Ranch Hand bumper a lot. I just wish I had some clever use for the front hitch receiver. I'll probably fab a step bar to stand on when I'm working under the hood. |

So I spent last weekend at the Jeep Jamboree in Williamsburg KY. The good... it was a BLAST!!! The BAD.... I always see something I MUST have for my Jeep. 1st Hand Throttle, pretty cool little thing that lets you use the clutch, brake and keep the RPMs up at the same time. 2nd Daystar Winch block that helps store the hook and also keeps the cable from smacking someone if it breaks 3rd 4" heavy rate progressive springs from Currie. (time to retire the 3" that are on it now) the above items didn't cost much... but # 4 is a wallet killer. Hutchinson duel beadlock wheels... you can run 0 lbs of air and the tire wont come off the bead.

While in Williamsburg we heard a couple of people saying they would NEVER go back to Cullman, AL. There is a offroad park there called Stony Lonesome and it was to hard on the jeeps. Lots of body damage and broken parts.... my eye lit up... I think I'm going to have to go there. Jeep>crack |

Mark - you just need to come buy one of these from me:
Mahindra Roxor. All-steel, CJ-style, fully boxed frame, D44 gearsets, 8k Warn winch, line-x tub, 5 speed, hydraulic clutch, power steering, power front discs. Oh. DIESEL. 4-cylinder turbodiesel, direct-injected, runs on offroad fuel, no emissions. 62hp, 144 lb-ft, rated to tow 3600 lbs. Diesel torque + low range on the transfer case = SERIOUS crawling!

LE with winch, light bar, bikini top, fabricated front bumper, alloy wheels and 3 mirrors is $18k. Base model ("classic") with steelies, no top, no light bar, no winch, stamped steel bumper - $15k. I have a matte gray (aka primer) SE and a blue LE like the picture, and a black Classic, in stock. We've got on order, a Roxor/Bestop soft cab enclosure; heater kit; and universal snowplow mount. Gonna upfit one of them for winter work and see how it goes. These things are COOL. And with no emissions, they smell like a diesel is supposed to smell! |

Dont have a leg to stand on. Mahindra has had rights to produce since 1947. The only jeep patent is the 7 slot grille. |

Planning to hit a Jeep Jamboree next year. Hopefully the Drummond Island one. I'll have to see if it will fit our schedule once the 2019 trips are posted. Any advice for preparation would be appreciated. I know I will need to add a CB radio. I've got an aftermarket bumper with a winch. I've added aftermarket skid plates to protect most vitals. I've got plans for a 2 1/2 inch lift to be done in the coming months. I'll still be on the stock M/T tires. Same as what comes on the Rubicon. Basically a 32 inch tire. That won't be upgraded until these are used up. I'll pack a basic tool kit of course. I'm sure I'll be in pretty good hands, but I'm just wondering what would be good to bring if I can. |

CB at yard sale for $3 to $8 with all wiring, mike, and magnetic antenna. I would keep it simple and cheap. Just plug it into cigarette lighter socket. |

I assume I'll need an air source to air up tires at the end of the day too. |

CO2. Look at this thread: https://www.wranglerforum.com/f19/build-your-own-c o2-tank-system-for-airing-up-high-quality-and-lowe st-cost-304529.html |

If you go on the Jeep Jamboree website they have a complete list of what you must have. The big one is tow points front and rear. I'm sure you Jeep already has them. Most people hook up a tow strap to the rear of their Jeep so they can help the person behind them at any given time. A tire deflator comes in real handy. I have the one Currie Enterprises has their name on. It pulls the core out of the valve stem. It works pretty well. With stock tires and non-beadlock wheels you will only want to go down to 12-15 lbs. Once I air down on Friday, I leave it down until the end of the day Saturday. The furthest I have had to drive on pavement to get to a trail is 25 miles + or - Plus they go pretty slow so the group doesn't get split up. |

Ourdee, thanks for the CO2 thread. That might be a viable option. Wolf, Yes, I've got D-rings on the front. Stock hook, plus a D-ring in the tow receiver on the rear. I have assembled a basic recovery kit too. I have looked at the Jeep Jam requirements, but it's always nice to hear what others suggest to make life easy. |

I think that Drummond Island JJ sold out pretty quick this year. You may want to be at the ready on you computer to buy your ticket when they open it up to purchase. I'm thinking about going to the one in Indiana and Cullman AL next year. |

Thanks for the heads up on that. I've been waiting to see the dates for Drummond Island 2019. If the dates work out, it's close by and looks awesome. If the dates conflict with my work schedule, we will do another JJ. |
