Yep. BOLD! NEW! GRAPHICS! is the first thing that pops to mind. If I held out, I could've had the 14.4 kWh battery for the same price as the 13 kWh one I got but I don't like black motorcycles. They're hard enough to see in traffic as it is, and black motorcycles are even harder to see, especially at night. No thanks. Biggest news to me is the fact that they made the Charge Tank a dealer-installed option again. That means if I change my mind and decide I want fast charging I can now do that. |

Does the oil get filled to the full mark or some kind of 2nd X place? |

The "Full" mark... but you have to have a friend hold the bike perfectly vertical while you check it. |

Very cool news: Just learned that with the 2019 model launch, the Charge Tank option is once again installable by the dealer (for 2018 is was factory installed only; you had to order it that way). Now, if I decide I want the faster charging option, I don't have to replace the bike! I just have to order the (NOT CHEAP) item and get it installed. If I should be dumb enough to run the bike completely empty and get to a charging station, a full charge will be around two hours; not NINE. More reasonably, I could get a decent top-up over the time it takes to eat a leisurely meal. And before anyone asks: Yes, the installable Charge Tank is retro-fitable to all 2015 and newer Zeros including mine. |

Seems pretty damn cool. Did you get a tax credit for this all electric vehicle, or is that only for cars? |

So can you charge that at Tesla charging stations? I'm still not clear how all of that works. |

Greg: Don't know yet about the tax credit. Last year the Fed renewed it at the last minute but just for 2017. Haven't heard anything about 2018 yet. Fingers crossed! NYS only offers a State credit on cars. Sifo: No, can't use the Tesla stations but it does let you use the J1772 stations that are popping up everywhere. |
