Are you restoring it? No need for stainless either. Just go to Napa and get a couple lengths of line and a union. Run it down the truck. You'll be done for less than $20. You can bend it carefully by hand to fit it in the clamps, theres no crazy 90*'s you need to copy. |

Installed a new Smittybilt waterproof winch yesterday. The Warn wouldn't free spool for as long as I can remember. Made the mistake of trying to fix it myself... and now I have a new winch. |

Not when they are running! Just like the Jeep. Fair assessment! I'm going to allow it! |

You always let your heep hump big rocks? Looks like you had a great time! Pretty cool to randomly call you when you were out there! When time allows I'm switching mine over to an automatic. I've had one stored in the shed for years. That'll probably get me back on the trails. Just made that move with the Corvettes. Sold both that had manuals, now into one with an auto and loving it! Hauling ass pain free is more fun! |

Mark, my son Tyler is building a YJ. His best friend bought one already built, they have joined a local Jeep club. They are threatening to take me with them Sunday. I really think they are trying to motivate me to set aside the Corvettes, motorcycles, motorhomes, boat, and truck builds to get the CJ back on the trails. |

So...for those of you who like the CJ, want a diesel trail machine, and don't care about street legality...we're now a dealer for https://www.roxoroffroad.com/ Mahindra 2.5L 4 cylinder turbo diesel, 5 speed, 2wd/4hi/4lo transfer case, and I would suspect that CJ accessories would bolt on like lifts, etc. Just a thought, and another trail option |

I saw one of those Roxor machines at a Jeep blessing a couple weeks ago. I wasn't sure what it was. It clearly wasn't a Jeep, but clearly was a close imitation in many ways. |

Some sort of big Jeep event in Sevierville tomorrow. We may go check it out. We are scheduled to go out Sunday in a buddies XJ. Some where around Newport Tn. It'll be different for me to be a passenger. Last time I did that was the first time you turned up a creek Mark. Ha! You've been up a creek ever since that moment!! You done got got! |

Hey youn's- I'm getting ready to help my sweetie's brother do a full R&R on his brakes, plus replace a busted leaf spring shackle on the rear of the truck. It's a 1996 Mazda B3000, V6 LE- he about fell over when the shop quoted him over $1600!!! I'm fine doing a brake job on about anything, and he's a good mechanic as well, but we've not dealt with the leaf spring shackle thingie. I've already pulled up a bunch of videos but not watched yet... any tips? |

If it busted it must be rusted! Suck, most of those are like a big drive chain link. One bar with two studs welded on one side, slide the stud bolts through the rubber bushings, put the other bar on and the nuts you are done. Except for the rust! |

... had to take a break, got stormy out... it'll be interesting to see what we REALLY need for the job, so far the right shackle looks OK. And yeah, rust. |

Hey Vern, can you keep and eye out for a 2007 new body style Chevy truck bed. Its the 6'6" in a funky silver/gold color. Mine is starting to show a little rust above the wheel wells... and I am not a fan of rust. I could also use a new rear bumper for the same reason! Thanks Bubba!! |

Ha ha! Sure can. That is exactly the size, year, and color of the bed I cut up to modify for my big truck! Had a few dents but no rust. Sad eh? Lol! I told you that was why I moved South. |

I've gone full summer mode on the daily driver. That's a Buell mirror hung on the door hinge.
