Affordable Tree Service has taken down the rotted tree in the back yard. It is now in firewood sized pieces on the ground. I no longer have to worry about it coming down on my house; or worse, my next door neighbor's house. Oh boy; am I happy! The remains From a different angle

That guy is a stud. . . . pure and simple. I suppose someone will tell us why he left the last one unsplit.

...watched the end- there were a couple of logs too close to the truck to execute that throw. Wonder how hot the mauls (axes?) were at the end. I meet folks like that, I make sure they're in the "friend" column. I've got upper body strength, more than most, but I aint that guy. Id've chopped off both feet a few times over.

He's obviously going through a divorce! Only thing I've seen split like that is dry, knot free, white pine. 2x4 board stuff. It seems when the axe would get stuck it sunk into soft wood. If to were hard wood it would have bounced off when that happened. Wonder if he loaded the next day?

I suppose someone will tell us why he left the last one unsplit. You always leave one standing, so he can go back to all the others, striking fear in the hearts of firewood across the universe with his tale of mayhem caused by the bi-ax wielding mad man of the woods

I just use a log splitter. No sore muscles the next day or bad back. Plus it will split anything, even the logs with knots or tree crotches.

I second the log splitter! I bought the cheapest one they have a tractor supply based on the reviews. It didn't get stuck in one log and I split about 9 cords with it.
