I'm speechless. F***ER ran me over while I sat at the stop sign in my own neighborhood. |

You are blessed. Could be a lot worse. Looks like his payments are going up. Glad you weren't hurt. There are some big dummies out there. I see them daily. |

Instead of blaming alcohol, or phones, or trailers, I'm going to assume the guy was either a , or was preoccupied dealing with kids or wife. Those are the only reasons I could see myself making such a mistake. |

So. You wanna buy a ginormous truck, LEARN TO DRIVE. The law of entropy applies to everything. You know, they used to do Home Ec classes where they would give you a few pounds of flour, and pretend you were caring for a baby. We need to lern these young'uns not to kill us or themselves. As a road rider, I do love riding my old '77 BMW, but I think maybe I need a D/S bike. As long as I can ride through a ditch or creek or... KEEP YOUR HEAD ON A SWIVEL. Hope to see you soon Matthew, just buy some T-Rex tape and all will be well. |

This is why I stop back of the stop sign/line. Especially when I see a tractor trailer or truck ready to make a turn. G |

Neighbor? There's all sorts of anonymous fun things you can do to their property as a "thank you".... Definitely sucks, but definitely could have been worse. Or, could have been a pedestrian. Hope they have good coverage. |

Wow, no excuse for that. You're to the far right of your lane on a wide road. You'd almost have to try to hit you. How old of a driver? |

One of those nightmares we all have riding and driving today. You, sadly, lived it. I'm sorry, man. I sure hope you come out of this whole. |

A. Older woman driving her husband's truck. (she's about 5'2" tall) B. Puppy bouncing around inside the truck, presumably her son-the passenger-should have been holding onto it. C. I was behind the line when I saw her coming at me. At the last moment I tried turning to the right to move out of the way, but my efforts were too little, too late. She would have gone straight up the middle of the hood and over me if I hadn't moved the car. I've got a nice rental car, Ford Fusion - Platinum edition with the Eco-Boost AWD package. I just want my car back the way it was, but if she bent the frame by running me over, it will probably never be straight. |

Poor Poor-sha Hope you get her fixed Matthew. If the frame's bent, don't accept anything other than a total. It'll never be right. Z |

I watched a woman in a new f150 about the size of that truck spend 5 minutes trying to back it out of a parking space. She almost made me late for work as her space was the only one available. I held my temper and gave her a pass since she had such nice tits. Tits always trumps temper. |

You bent frame guys need another beer. The car has a unibody structure mostly made of high strength alloy steel stamped into pieces with specific shapes and welded together up to four layers thick in important structural areas. I have straightened literally hundreds of frames on new cars to good results every time. I worked in large new car dealerships being a factory trained technician. Our work has very tight tolerances that must be met to be right. I use factory specification measurements and i use laser measuring devices along with a ladder rack measuring system. Literally a rigid frame measuring ladder that attaches to specific factory measurement locating points in the cars unibody structure. It has an over the front strut tower locating rack that can locate factory spec locations into the air as a point to build to when replacing panels. Bent structures have been getting straightened ever since the first car wreck. Doing it correctly can happen with the skills and the right tools and the education to use them. Sure there are hacks out there but there are just as many technician who want it right. My goal on every job was zero spec. If a top fender rail has a point that can be +~ 1mm i go for 0. I do the same with lower frame components. And all of the attaching points for the suspension parts. I like when i straighten a front structure to get a 0 degree alignment. I always hated within spec guys. They get them straight to within the +- numbers and call it good. But that could be . 5 mm on one side of the car going one way and .5 mm going some other way on the other side. What we do is a three dimensional puzzle. This car in question is pushed in from the front , in from the side, down from the top, and at the same time up from the bottom. It needs to be pulled back in the same order in which it was bent. It becomes a deep three dimensional science that is as much art. The most difficult part of this job will be matching the three stage silver pearl. That is another whole chemistry and art project. But bent frames totaling cars is a rumor. $$$$$ is what totals cars. |

Matthew. When you get the insurance estimate and you find the shop that will fix it, I will be happy to inspect, test, and make sure you are getting what should be done is done correctly. . But I know you can handle it. Just looking for a reason to run to Hotlanta for a beer and a burger! |

You are the claimant. Insist on oem factory parts only. Aftermarket parts have begun to suck the past few years IMHO. If an adjuster says he can't do it continue to refuse it to the body shop. Keep riding the rental. It had oem parts when their insured crunched it! |

Vern, I did not sign the waiver for non-oem parts. I know they are available. Fresno, she was signaling for the turn. |
