Someone has to pay the fine people who dedicated years and their future in insanely high student loans. Pay them well. Punish people for working? You get less work. They cut your pay for working extra? You won't. I've had jobs where over x hours overtime the taxes reduced my pay per hour. I did get a bigger check, but eventually I was working for less than base pay. So I worked the optimum if possible. ( this depends on tax brackets. Carter regime, in my case It was for me a fairly low number of hours. Bush regime? Work all I wanted, I made out. ) I might be convinced that health programs paid by my taxes are a good idea. Not a right, a nice service. But reality shows that Canadian doctors will be punished for costing too much, English doctors just go home & on vacation each month, when they hit the max quota. Waiting for heart surgery? Hope your timing is good in the fiscal cycle, or die. I'd be dead if I was a subject of the Crown. | ||

Let me add the Canadian system is darn good. They don't have the insane drug laws we have that put pain meds in with booze and cocaine as controlled recreational drugs. This neo-abolitionist Puritan busybody attitude that hates when people have fun is the root cause of drug abuse & exploitation by crime. Rape and sex slavery too. For centuries, the priests and crime lords have worked together to pass laws against anything they can. The more stuff illegal, the more profits for criminals. OTOH, Canada has it's own problems. Work quotas? Just read the Mayor of Chicago's brother's words on killing old folk to keep costs down. He's serious. He also wrote Obama care. | ||

The DNC accused the Russians of hacking their server, but never allowed law enforcement to inspect it. They hired an outside firm to make the accusations. So there is no evidence of a crime at all. The DNC is now known to have illegally conspired to wreck the nomination attempt of Bernie Sanders. Thus they are suing for a crime they committed and there is no evidence they are a victim of. The Trump Campaign would be wise to not pay a dime except to lawyers to counter sue for defamation and demand criminal prosecution of the DNC leadership. | ||

The DNC accused the Russians of hacking their server, but never allowed law enforcement to inspect it. Not only that, but this is the act that supposedly lead to Mueller's investigation of "collusion" with the Russians. Never mind the fact that the investigation should never have happened. The fact is that after 2 years of "investigation", they never found evidence of collusion. That's a pretty incredible defense case! | ||

EL PASO, Texas - An 11-year-old Parkland Middle School student died after he was struck by a vehicle near the school during a walkout protest, Ysleta ISD Superintendent Dr. Xavier De La Torre confirmed. The pedestrian accident was reported at around 10 a.m. on the northbound lanes of Loop 375. A police spokesman said a group of students was crossing the highway when the 11-year-old boy was struck. Police could not say why the students were crossing the highway. "It is illegal for pedestrians to cross the highway," the police spokesman said. De La Torre said the student killed was a sixth grader at the middle school. The superintendent said several students have asked to go home after learning of the "tragic accident." All extra-curricular activities at Parkland Middle School have been canceled for the remainder of the week, De La Torre said. "This was an isolated group of students who breached the school's perimeter," De La Torre said, "We believe this was a group of about 12 to 15 students." De La Torre could not say whether the students who walked away from the school would face any disciplinary action. The superintendent said the school had about 10 individuals keeping an eye on students participating in a walkout to protest recent school shootings.
