Someone should introduce a piece of counter-legislation (co-legislation?): If you (Dems) say the mentally unfit should have to pass a background check in order to legally purchase a firearm, and failure of such checks results in being forbidden to purchase...the same background checks shall apply to those seeking public office. Fail a background check, you can't run. Seems pretty straightforward to me. | ||
