http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2018/02/26 /corporate-combat-georgia-conservatives-aim-derail -delta-state-subsidy-airline-cuts-nra-ties/ There's a funny line in the trailer for Hurricane Heist. Iirc it involves Georgia. |

I don't agree with government threatening a private business for terminating a voluntary relationship with another private business. If giving them a tax break was a good idea, their relationship with NRA doesn't change that. Severing that tie was a knee jerk jerky thing to do, but that's between Delta and NRA. Conservatives should not sink to weaponizing government against the people. That's the domain of the left. |

They did it: Georgia Lieutenant Governor Casey Cagle threatened to block the legislation containing the lucrative tax exemption earlier this week unless the company reversed its decision. "I will kill any tax legislation that benefits @Delta unless the company changes its position and fully reinstates its relationship with @NRA," Mr Cagle wrote on Twitter. "Corporations cannot attack conservatives and expect us not to fight back." The Georgia tax bill will now go to the desk of Republican Governor Nathan Deal, who is expected to sign it into law. That's some expensive posturing for Delta - 50 million dollars.... |

A comprehensive "assault weapons" bill has been introduced to the house judiciary. Pretty odd, as "assault weapons" in my mind aren't a thing. It's a fanciful term used by our authoritarian A-holes. There will be many AR-15's being sold. https://www.congress.gov/bill/115th-congress/house -bill/5087/text (Message edited by Rick_a on March 02, 2018) |

Unfortunately, Rick, it doesn't matter what is in your mind; it's what is in the mind of an illiterate pol that doesn't like the looks of your (very nice-looking) gun. You should stop making them look so scary! How's the Beretta? Nice, eh? |

Once again, no logic. The Ruger Mini-14 is exempted. That certainly makes sense. |

The Beretta is sweet. As expected. It's accurate and flawlessly reliable. My holster is MIA which is disappointing. In response to this silliness I'll be making my AR 22 as scary looking as absolutely possible. When people freak out, their absurdity can be exposed. It'll take a while as it's expensive to do so...and I still have a rifle to finish. Any bans, if passed, will just change which guns people will tac out, and determine what solutions the industry will come up with. It will all be meaningless in the grand scheme.

Hopefully your rate of fire isn't too high. That's the current regulatory agenda of our esteemed BATFE agency. |

Once again, no logic. The Ruger Mini-14 is exempted. That certainly makes sense. That's why I have one. I bought it during the previous black gun ban. It's stainless steel with a nice wood stock so there's no way it could be as dangerous or powerful as an Assault Rifle 15! Actually I was going to buy an aftermarket AR style stock for it but when I pull it up I'm looking right down the peep sight. It fits me perfect and I decided that was more important. |

I played Halo for years. I've been accused of having a full auto 10/22. And was again accused of having a full auto AKM at a range near Albany. The accuser was a Deputy Sheriff who was serious about arresting me, until the State Trooper who's AKM I was shooting came to my defense. He explained that he's heard full auto AKs fired at him, and I'm not that fast.... just close. We then took turns firing 3-5 shot manual bursts, and the Deputy, with some coaching got faster than I was. ( I was still more accurate, I hit the 8" steel target almost every time @50 yards, the Deputy was well into Spray & pray mode. ) Parsinomy? Yeah, that kicks in hard with some rifles. A buddy's .50 BMG bolt action ammo was $7 a shot with ammo from Gander. |

That is what's most important. I'd like to, at some point, get a Mossberg 590A1 and put wood furniture on it. Something about a nice slab of wood and a fixed bayonet pleases me.

I no longer have anything expensive to feed. If 7.62x54R continues to get more expensive and harder to find, I may have to start reloading for it. The police once showed up at a neighborhood backyard range due to "full auto" fire. I was fanning the trigger on my 1911. Once the officer got a demonstration, he left without further drama. |

.45-70 isn't quite in the BMG neighborhood, but it's definitely a reload situation. Has anyone loaded one with 70 gr. of FFF(F?) just to see what Custer saw? |

https://www.starlinebrass.com/articles/45-70-Gover nment/ I think Custer had 56 grain loads. Iirc they downloaded cavalry ammo, then everyone used the lower load. Don't quote me, that's from memory and you should always use the published loads.... not internet idiot suggestions. By all means try black powder loads. Then clean. If you want clean burning equivalent try Trail Boss. Little donuts. DANGER black powder cartridges are easy to load beyond safe pressure. Partially filled cases are common with these old cavernous calibers and require care and technique to use safely. Old original guns will ruin your day and themselves if you aren't aware of the problem and educate yourself. First. |

http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2018/03/02 /exclusive-kobach-the-gun-confiscation-crusade-beg ins/ Why are gun owners paranoid about jack booted thugs kicking down doors and taking their property? They aren't paranoid. Anyone have an enemy that would call a mental health false alarm on you to mess up your life? An ex, someone at work you've unknowingly offended? You'll find out the hard way. |

My plucky Canadian friends drone on endlessly about "gun control" and virtue signal incessantly about saving children by taking our guns and rights. It's hard to find their statistics on such matters as the truth is inconvenient. But, despite their nonsense, they have a long history of mass shootings, increasing "gun violence," and increasing gang violence despite their best intentions. Their gun laws are not too different from ours. They essentially get a permit to purchase certain types of firearms. It's simply criminal to use one for anything but sport or hunting. Their worst mass shootings: http://www.huffingtonpost.ca/2017/01/30/canada-mas s-shootings_n_14498292.html Their rising crime problems: https://www.google.com/amp/www.macleans.ca/opinion /gun-violence-isnt-just-a-u-s-problem-and-canada-i snt-immune/amp/ Their homicide breakdown: Stabbings and beaten to death. How civilized. We suck, but they're nobody to be our judge... Gang related homicides. At this rate they'll catch up to us in no time.

I just got a Sig-Sauer 22 cal conversion kit for my 1911 Sig. Looking forward to CHEAPER fun. SUPPOSEDLY compatible with other 1911 based guns. Will be getting a Springfield 1911 in a month so will see but it's a drop-in to my Sig 1911. |

Oh and since I live in the People's Republic of California, enterprising businesses have come up with devices that will functionally lock the magazines for my AR-types and FN-FAL types so I can keep all the "evil features" except large cap mags. |

Steve, I feel bad for you. I keep at least 14 30 round mags for the AR loaded at all times. CA. is like buying a Buell and only being allowed to use one spark plug wire. |

Such laws are so stupid. Like somebody that's going to rob and kill people gives a flip if their gun is compliant with the law. I never much liked 22 conversions. I'd rather have a dedicated gun for that. They seem to be less finicky that way. |

Liberal progressive democratic socialists are all over the nets smugly professing victory. Little do they know that they're creating conservatives, libertarians, NRA members, and promoting gun ownership all over the U.S. |
