I got my gun. I was in a minor panic this morning over the idea that it not be there. It's clean. 1996 production...the same year I was first issued an M9. There's not too many choices in concealable holsters for it these days. Remora has them for 1/2 off, so that'll make it easy. |

You'll enjoy the heck out of it; the knife is an interesting piece as well: it takes and holds an edge. |

Seems kinda chubby to be sharing pants with in my opinion. Perhaps thinner/less comfy grips? The double stack magazine limits how skinny it can get I guess. |

And some gun porn for the Glock guys. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4WlPN2Z3Uwc You may even be able to purchase just the grip frame if you already have the correct Glock. G |

That SBR is cool. That muzzle device is a little much. It probably throws some impressive sparks. That full conceal Glock is kinda dumb. My final frontier is a Glock, I suppose. I think at this point I have everything I've really wanted. I really like the 19x...the grip size is a bit long, tho... These guys properly fix it here: https://www.offgridweb.com/gear/recoiltv-glock-19x -minus-the-x/ |

As my last frontier, I've been looking at Glocks again. This 80% thing looks interesting. Crunching some numbers I could have an all new Glock for about three hundred and fifty bucks. These kits are incredibly simple to assemble. I quite like the idea. I believe there's a couple Gen 3 assembled slides left in the shop. It's a Glock with the proper grip angle that isn't really a Glock. Perfect. |

Nah. I've told myself forever that a Glock would be the last thing I buy. However, this would technically not really be a Glock... ...but I digress. It would be more than half so; the entire slide assembly and guts. It would be, at least in spirit. Anyway, I've always wanted to be able to say that I've got a ghost gun with A 33 round per second clip. |

I've always been intrigued by the term "ghost gun". Does a serial number somehow make a gun less dangerous or less deadly? Are you "less dead" if you are killed by a gun with a serial number? Just wondering. G |

Moving from Florida to California proved to be quite the eye opener. Gen 4 Glocks? Nope. Whhhyyyyyyy..... Out of 6 carbine length or longer AR-15's... every single one was illegal. Including the one I bought in California 10 years ago. So of course I turned them all in to my local PD right away "for the children!!" But go shooting in the desert and everyone has a 30rd mag in a SBR? Madness. |

SBR's or pistols? Nationally, the registration schemes only have an estimated 3-15% participation rate. There's also a shocking number of people who have no idea of the very existence of NFA laws. Against my better judgment I ordered all the parts required to build my Glock. With all new genuine Glock parts (including two factory mags and one factory 'stendo clip), the aftermarket frame plus night sights...I'm under $400 OTD. A clean used example could be had for the same or less...but it wouldn't be the same. I'm getting mine in ODG...'cause it's the best. |

SBR's. A pistol buffer is shorter and doesn't need a stamp because stupid. But nevertheless the mags are bad enough for any California BLM ranger who comes looking for an excuse to stick another one in his safe. I'm not usually one to drink the Kool-Aid, but I do currently have an affinity for the Plastic Fantastic. I've carried everything from a Derringer to a Kimber 1911 in .45, to a Desert Eagle (.44mag) and went to a G32 (.357sig). Currently a G23 is on my hip. It comes in .40 but I have mags and barrels for 9mm to shoot at the range, and carry with the .357sig defense rounds in it. They fit me well with some minor mods, and it's easier to grind away at a $600 piece of plastic vs. a $1500 rosewood, stainless beauty Of course I'm looking at the new single stack .45 that sig makes because... well, just because |

Technically a pistol and SBR buffer are the same, only the stock makes it appear longer...unless it's one of the PDW setups. The pistol brace craze negates that some. I've built (or re-built) a 1911 from the frame up. Most every single part needs hand fitting, with some blending and recontouring here and there. The Polymer80 build should be quite different. One can essentially assemble in minutes what takes days with the other. What a contrast. In NY a pistol permit is required to own handguns. When it came to heirloom or attic find guns the police would often happily take them off the hands of the would be offender...for their own good, of course. |

The frame is drilled, stippled, and rails installed. Just waiting on the innards. The Sig P365 which showed promise as an ultra compact 10rd capacity nine, has been having issues. Hopefully they iron it out before people have had enough of their shenanigans (they just had that firing when dropped thing with the P320). http://sigtalk.com/p250-p320-p365-p320-x-5-pistols /271490-sig-tweaking-p365-design.html#/topics/2714 90 |

Yeah. The leftist politicians focus on gun legislation, but typically the gun is the least of the factors involved. Ridiculous. The "gun free zone" proves ineffective, once again. As of last night, I have Glock. 20180215_081530 by Slick_Rick77, on Flickr 20180215_081457 by Slick_Rick77, on Flickr |

Looks good Rick. Sad about the P365, I was really looking forward to getting one. Guess I'll wait a bit. That really tarnishes a gun mfg rep, considering its back to back with the P320 issues. Great article link Aesquire! I have that conversation repeatedly with a particular person (that I just forwarded it too). Even considering my losses in Vegas I believe even stronger in 2A. She thinks 270 million guns magically disappearing from America is the answer. |

Nice work Rick. Welcome to the dark side. Would you have managed to cut the cost even more if you'd purchased a used G19, then sold the frame? I think I paid $135 for a used G22 frame. Bought it to go with a .22 LR conversion slide/barrel assy. |

Yeah. They'll get it right eventually. It's always certainly better on the first try. One wonders what is lost in translation from the pre prod versions to the final. People on the left are just full of hyperbole and rhetoric of the anti gun camps. They're selling an agenda full of feelings and good intentions that is completely devoid of facts or practical ideas. I'm not sure a used gun would have saved me any money. With all new/takeoff parts I'm in this some $365. Selling serialized parts is no fun, anyway. This has a great feel, and despite using factory parts the trigger is crisper and the pull less crunchy than factory guns. I also much prefer the smooth faced trigger. Little things can make quite a difference. Quite a contrast compared to 1911's. One a modern vintage work of art. The other an exercise in efficiency and simplicity. |

Lately the chatter by the social justice types is that we shouldn't marginalize the mentally ill by linking them to gun violence...yet it's perfectly acceptable to purposefully lump all gun owners, the NRA, the entirety of the GOP, and Trump together with mass murderers. It's the hypocrisy and logical fallacy I like. Then there's the oft repeated lie that Trump allowed the mentally ill to purchase firearms. Of course I've been told that it's true because the world believes it. Right. That's how it works. |
