I've been looking for a replacement to my S3T as a "daily" rider for past 4 or so year. Maybe even longer than that. While I still love the S3T, it's getting up there in years and miles (20 years and over 70k miles). I was excited when EBR launched and waited for an 1190AX to arrive. Well, we all know that never happened. Then I saw Erik's person 1190SX with taller bars, fly screen and bags. That was it! I'd found my next bike. Oops...too soon. EBR went belly up (again). So this past week, I finally pulled the trigger on a new scoot. It will never replace the Buell in my heart. And I'll still have the S3T and a '96 S1 in the garage. But this will be the first time in 20 years that a Buell will not be my go-to bike.

Those Africa Twins are dang interesting. Just barely after they'd hit the market, I ran into a couple here in East TN who'd ridden theirs all the way from Texas, with temp tags on!! Supposedly the power won't blow you away, but the all around capabilities will. Fun! If you need any D/S gear or farkles, get in touch with my friends at Dual Sport Touring- Megan and Francois. www.dualsporttouring.com They're great peeps, both know how to cross the lower 48 using the bare minimum of roads... uber-gearheads!! |

Did you get the DCT? From what I've read, it's a good set-up. Good luck with it. |
