Ratbuell, The "you have to have insurance or we fine you" law just cancelled by the tax change was Obama's way to get insurance companies to go along with Obamacare and give him big bribes. Companies that bribed him got better deals. But the "fine" was to force you to pay insurance companies so you wouldn't show up at the hospital without insurance and sign up for it on the spot. ( which is another part of Obamacare ) The analogy is "your house is on fire and you wait to get insurance until the fire dept. comes". Obviously not how insurance works. Insurance companies are bookies. You bet you'll have a problem and pay every paycheck when you don't. That's what pays for the times you do, spread out over all the betters. You don't bet on the game after it's over, right? No bookie could survive that. So Obama made it mandatory to bet automatically. He said it wasn't a tax, the Dems in congress said it wasn't a tax, ( if it was a new tax it needed a super majority. ) Reps in congress said it was a tax & voted against it. When it went to the Supreme Court they ( Roberts ) said it was a tax and thus legal. Many disagreed but that's the final answer. The Supreme Court in effect said Obama and the Dems lied to you. But you still have to pay a tax if you don't buy insurance. ( that got cancelled with Trump tax reform ) Many conservative writers opined Obama's INTENTIONS for Obamacare was to attack the American health car system with a Cloward-Piven strategy. ( just Google those last three words for the long explanation ) Basically overload the system till it collapses and install a socialist Order when the People complain and Demand Action. | ||

I know the fed cancelled it. My original post today (9:01 AM, see above) states that Annapolis - and thus the State of Maryland - is introducing legislation at the state level, to enact that same policy for the STATE. Where I live. I applaud the Trump tax reform. I'm pissed that the (Democrat) state I live in, is going to be douchebags about it, and take their money anyway. It's a little too sanctuary-city/sanctuary-state for my tastes - "Sure, the Fed says 'can't do it'...but we're going to do our own thing. screw 'em." | ||

Btw....... If you don't get half the references in that Billy Joel song, you should be ashamed. At least enough to be too embarrassed to spout off on politics. I'd accept broad understanding of some items. "British politician sex" could be any one of many scandals. So, I'm watching a segment about the allegations that 0bama made a deal to prevent the assassination of an Iranian terrorist. They had a member of the 0bama staff on set, and asked her about it: "This is pure speculation, there is NO PROOF, it's an unreliable foreign source and I can't believe people are buying into it simply because they want to find some dirt on him that doesn't exist". um... Isn't that exactly what the Democrats are doing with the Steele dossier, about our President?? Her "argument" was, literally, word for word, EXACTLY what the Dems are doing with the whole "Russia" concoction. I'm just upset the host didn't call her out on that, on the air. | ||

The author is serious. The Democrats are happy to trash a woman or a trans or Jesus himself, in the cause of raw political power. I'm not saying the Republicans are better. Not at all. But the trans pardoned traitor is running on the D ticket. And the Dems happily called sexual abuse victims trailer trash when their favorite was a candidate or in office. Even though it was well known he abused his power as AG and Governor to get laid. Even better, used State Police to pick up his conquests. And now uses Secret Service to be sure his wife is in a different state before they let his mistresses in his heavily protected house. SOP, you say? It is a rumored SS job since FDR & JFK. The trashing of women part seems to be a Clinton legacy. Hypocrisy is the theme of the article. If you want to be inclusive, adopt a simple inclusive label, like "sexual freedom". I looked at it again and I'm not so sure. Other articles on that site are far-left (or normal Dem now?) It was so over the top, I assumed it was sarcasm. Regarding all the letters, it appears that "Queer" means you are gay and want to shove it in everyone's face and make you acknowledge them as superior. They've been using fringe issues like gender identity and rest rooms to divide and conquer. But the Party is really a bunch of rich old men and a few women who aren't affected by the stuff they demand of the public. Their kids are grown up or go to expensive private schools. The cops keep the homeless off Nancy Pelosi's sidewalk in front of her house. And they consider Kansas a shithole since it won't vote for more of them. ( book title: What's Wrong With Kansas ) So I don't see the sarcasm. The author is upset that an alleged pro-jew old white man is getting the support of the Party instead of the trans felon. He has invoked the leftist Jew hatred to condemn the incumbent. The notion that The Party would prefer a steady vote on Party line issues and considers Manning a lefty tea party disruption never is mentioned. No group is more "conservative" about keeping themselves in power than Marxist revolutionary types. They exploit but never share. They KNOW better than to let others reform them. Queer just means not hetero and not hiding it. The "in your face part" is voluntary but some do want to make it a show. If I were a Marylander or whatever they call themselves I would want to know how well Manning works with others and see how fluent she is local politics before I knee jerk voted for her.
