The film maker who gave us "On Any Sunday" passed away this weekend at 80 years old. I remember my friend introducing me to that movie and I thought it was the most amazing thing I'd ever seen. There have been other documentaries about motorcycling ("Why We Ride" comes to mind) as well as some sequels but the original is still the best.
..wow..bummer...remember when "On Any Sunday" came out...watched it several times....one of my top movies.May just have to pop it in the dvd player"so old times sake".....LT
Definitely RIP! My brother and I watched that together with our dad. Dad introduced us to motorcycles and we've always appreciated it! I loved the beginning with the view of the knobby tire and then as it rode away you saw it was a fat guy on a mini enduro 60 if memory serves. Now I'm going to have to watch it again! Again, may you RIP Mr. Brown.
Yeppers, that guy gave us some of the most iconic MC LIFE cinema ever.
Yeah, maybe I'll track that down one of these evenings and watch it again. Given that it's in the low 40's, perfect time to get into some teevee MC goodness.
