The amount of bad spelling on these memes is interesting. Auto correct can be a reason. Too lazy to check spelling. Too excited to check before posting. Failed education system. I'm sure there's more possibilities. |

My take is "Maths" is the British term for Mathematics. And they say WE bastardize THEIR language.

Even English English has dialects and experts on the differences. They did evolve the language by theft and conquest. Mirrors the history. A trade language if only because of the stubborn nature of Empire. By simple numbers the Indian dialects are the norm. |

In Greece, the word for "mathematics" came to have the narrower and more technical meaning "mathematical study" even in Classical times. ... In English, the noun mathematics takes singular verb forms. It is often shortened to maths or, in English-speaking North America, math. - wiki |

I must be from Australia (a country entirely populated by criminals, as everyone knows) because I've stolen that meme. |

Inconceivably, Georgia was not mentioned in the film. |

The "where do you want to go eat" thing is normal with my friends. Appallingly normal. Never mind the allergies, shellfish, peanuts, black pepper, nitrogen, whatever, those can usually be dealt with. You just don't take peanut allergy folk to steak houses that have drifts of peanut shells on the floor. Simple consideration. We go to events ( SCA ) all over the place, and unless there's a planned stop, a favorite Italian place at the NY/PA border for example, it's like sing a round of "I don't know, what do you want?" with choruses of "I'll eat anything" and suggestions that get ignored. "How about Taco Bell?".... "glare".... With women, I make plans, calculate dietary requirements, even the phases of the moon. Seriously. Then we go where she feels like it at the moment. I thought the above advice was brilliant. |

Probably should post this in a political thread to raise the tone of discussion.

I always loved hearing Mr Burns on the Simpsons with his old timey insults... "The Japanese? Those sandal-wearing goldfish tenders!" |
