I always loved Newcomb's Ranch! And Hwy 2! When my friends and I rode route 66 from Springfield Illinois to the Pacific we made a little detour to get out of the heat by jumping on 2 and riding it back down to 66. It was 60 degrees up there and over 100 in the desert!
Perfect riding days around here lately, I've just not had a day off... until tomorrow! Gotta meet a guy on the other side of Knoxvegas to buy a stereo receiver... I've pretty much figured out a primo route to get there. My beloved R75/7 is calling me from the shed... Let's ROLL!!!
Since the Messerschmitt Kabinenroller used an airplane canopy it reminded me of the bulbulous windshield on the picture above.
I'm quite familiar with the BMW Isetta since recently I got a 300, like the one in your picture, to run after years of sitting. I also got it's big brother, a 600 limo, to run also. They were used in a wedding procession of a friend of mine.
Thanks for the Messerschmitt video! I've always loved those things. I wanted to put a BMW 750 3 cylinder in one of them or even the Isetta!
OK, THAT was super cool! 5+ years to build, wonder what the $$$ was? As far as having no reverse, wonder why they haven't rigged an electric motor for that?
Thanks for posting- BTW, Teeps, you haven't ridden in that thing, have ya?
Back OT: I managed to take a 60-65 mile ride out yesterday... kinda brisk at low 50 temps, but very enjoyable anyway. Hadn't been on some of the more fun south Knox backroads in a while.
