Please vote for Gillespie today, as the Dems need to have their hides tanned. The Dems are on the verge of Civil War. Please help them destroy themselves. |

Agreed. The Democrat candidate approved an ad with a pickup truck chasing immigrant children. With patriotic and Gillespie stickers. Then the Islamic terrorist ran down children and adults in New York. The ad has been pulled but not the message. Pickup owners. Republicans. Patriots. Those who oppose Democrats. You are terrorists to be hated and murdered. I wouldn't care if Gillespie is a tree frog. Vote for him over a person who promotes hatred to gain power. Don't let evil win. |

From a native Virginian - abandon ship. VA is totally compromised thanks to Unfairfax county and it's neighbors. The Dem swamp owns DC and it's bled too far south. Hey Jules - guess who mine and YOUR state voted for...... TRUMP guess who will win NC in 2020..... let me help you... TRUMP |

You've never walked a dog, have you? Looks like the expected happened and D states stayed D. The middle wing media hyped the polls and may have cost the VA election, from complacency, or were just too optimistic. |

Courtesy of the population density of Northern VA. So many of the DC "elite" live in NoVa, it may as well be part of the District. Simple fact is, they outnumber the honest, hardworking folk in southern and central VA. Mayhap we should move the VA/WV line. Make most of what is currently VA, into WV. Carve out a section that is currently NoVa (Fairfax, Loudon, Arlington, Faquier, Prince William, and possibly King George), and make them the entirety of Virginia. |

I think that's known as Gerrymandering. That doesn't make it a bad idea, but even though they have a notion contrary to what I may think is right, it is those citizens right to vote the way they want. I have friends who are on opposite ends of the political spectrum and even the ones who hold opinions contrary to mine are intelligent and reasonable people. They have the right to have and express their opinions and they also have the right to vote however they want; that the American Way. |

It's not the opinions that are at issue so much as all the things that they know that are not true. Govt as savior of the collective in lieu of defender of the individual. All for minority rights, except when it comes to the smallest minority, the individual. And then you have the nice reasonable thoughtful types. Such a blessing to all they meet. Spreading the love, truth, and saving grace of Christ wherever they go. Kill the babies cause choice, but save the little fishy at the expense of families cause I said so, save the rapists and murderers, but hand over your rifles lawful people? Don't dress up for Halloween cause you're stealing other races cultures, but do choose your gender as you like. Dehumanize, demoralize, riot, attack, and divide, gaslighting at every step. Free speech for all unless they disagree, with violence they respond. It is the leftist way. Drive them out. We need to root the cancer from our midst. We did it once before. We need to do it again. |

Sessions and Trump are entirely underwhelming when it comes to taking on the leftist cabal. I keep hoping they are working behind the scenes and are preparing to let it launch. Like a bad movie you keep hoping will improve. We need an aggressive AG untainted by swamp gas. Sorry, off topic. |

I wouldn't move any State lines. There's the electoral college, Senate seats, federal kickbacks to the States, that all go by State, not population. For various reasons. I've seen proposals to redraw all the lines by logical population and geographic features. ( like major rivers ) Never going to happen because it would wreck all the cozy divisions and jerrymandering of two centuries plus. The Engineering approach doesn't work here since the positions of Power are deeply entrenched. With razor wire. There's a fundamental difference between urban, suburban, & rural cultures. The funny part is that the urban culture is the most outwardly cosmopolitan, a source of great pride, and also the most provincial. And glaringly unaware they are narrowly provincial. Understand the meaning of provincial. Of a locality. A narrow focus on local power and events. Oh, not every city folk are that way, but most. And it applies to suburban folk that move to the city after a while. Everyone in America is aware of the Mayor of New York. That's where the news is. Pierre South Dakota, the State capitol? I'll bet you most folk in Philadelphia don't know where it is or remember the name. Narrow. Provincial. And so unaware of their focus thst they believe themselves to be far sighted. They don't see the blurred rest of the planet. See famous New Yorker map. The narrow focus of the rural and somewhat the suburban cultures are. .... wider. More aware of being a part of a greater whole. Just as focused on daily survival as a barista in Portland, mind you, but more likely to think of themselves as Americans or Texans than New Yorkers. Consider the attitude difference about patriotism, military service, etc. This division is not just American. Almost universal. The Suburbs are varied based on "kind" of suburb. Bedroom communities of major cities vs. Scattered industrial spread of smaller ones, big attitude difference. |

Like a bad movie you keep hoping will improve. There's been theories pushed around that the perceived discord between Trump and Sessions is a ruse to allow them to investigate the criminal elements inside the Democrat party quietly and unobstructed. This is, of course, a matter of pure speculation. If BIG things haven't happened by this time next year (pre-midterms) then I would start to wonder if anything will ever happen at all. The optimistic win didn't happen. The take away is two simple things. Sometimes simple demographics rules. Red states have more red voters. That's all you need to win unless you have extraordinary circumstances. Like a very charismatic candidate. Hate sells. While the tv ad of a racist looming mass murdering supporter of obviously evil Republican Scum may have made you angry about it's insulting dishonesty, it made thousands more all righteous and gave their self esteem a big boost as it validated their Rage. Lots of violent Rage out there. Just look at Julie. |

In a conversation with a political junkie friend of mine, he made some interesting points. He thinks that Trumps tweets are all meant to fire up the MSM to keep them talking about nothing while he quietly works in the background. I hope he's correct as I would love it if we could all wake up one day and have it all come together in all our favor. Hey, there's always hope! |

I would love it if we could all wake up one day and have it all come together in all our favor. I'd say record market levels day after day; constantly decreasing unemployment; and two straight quarters of 3%+ GDP growth...well, it pretty much IS coming together. Despite the best efforts of swamp dwellers, the DNC, and the MSM to the contrary. |
